I love and miss Chester, and I always will. All of us Linkin Park fans do, but what everyone who’s against this return don’t want to acknowledge is, Chester made a final choice which left everyone else in the band broken and lost. They deserve to be able to move on and find some peace and purpose going forwards, and I think they’ve made the right decision. She will never be Chester, but she doesn’t need to be. She’s great as herself, and I look forward to this new era of Linkin Park. This is what Chester would want, everyone in the band to be able to move forward in life, and for Linkin Park to stay alive.

She is very often trying to sing like chester, which is actually a big part of the problem. Chester sang through pure emotions. The songs were written for chester, with chester. Emily WANTS to sing like that, she is trying and you can notice how her attempts tend to stop her from shining in her own way. They are just not her songs. Linkin Park songs are often about a certain negative emotion and Chester is one of the absolute best in expressing these through his voice. And in hindsight, the reason was probably simply because he truly felt each of these. "Someone happy can not sing songs of pain"

An amazing way to pay respect and to keep his legacy alive. Chester was just, Chester. We could feel his emotions, as he sang his own way. He was able to convey hate, fear, love, happiness, sadness, and so much more through screaming singing style. Dude was simply an amazing vocalist. Emily sounds pretty damn good here. Could you imagine being the person that's stepping up, and not filling Chester's shoes , but standing beside them? The pressure she is under has to be immense. And she just powers through that pressure, and that fear, and did her own thing. I believe this can be an amazing new chapter for LP.

The issue is her range. Chester and Mike worked out their common range over decades of working together and the songs are all made around them. Emily's range is quite different from Chester. Parts where Chester would be at the upper end of his range seems like Emily's comfort zone, so the lower range vocal parts of Chester is too low for her. I'm sure they could work out a comfortable range that suits both Emily and Mike because you can't really avoid singing old songs of LP no matter how much new stuff they make.

I want to know why the other band members have agreed to have her as the new front woman. Reading up on her this evening it seems she is actually a rayher vile individual who was friends with Danny Masterson and supported him through his trial. She didn't just supprt Masterton, she was part of a group that harassed one of his victims into not going to the police at the time. How is she an appropriate perosn to stand there and replace Chester, who was himself a victim of abuse and sang to support other victims out there. Honestly, this feels awful and like a slap in the face of his memory and a middle fingers to the fans whove been victims of abuse out there. She is a woman who has laughed in victims faces, mocked them and intimdated them, and ultimately prevented them from having justice and closure. Vile tbh.
