The thing is...your favorite band doesn’t owe you anything no matter how long you’ve been a fan. If you bought Hybrid Theory when it came out and every album since, they still don’t owe you anything. It was a fair exchange. You paid for the album and that’s what you got. Or you paid to see them in concert and that’s what you got. You got what you paid for and they owe you nothing. You don’t own them because you bought an album 17-18 years ago. Let that sink in

I love it when people are ignorant enough to say that they are "sell outs". You could actually argue that they sold out during their first two albums because management was actually forcing them to make *more aggressive music* at the beginning of their career and to keep the exact same tone as Hybrid Theory. After 70 million albums sold they can do whatever they want, a pop album included, if you didn't like it that's fine but don't be stupid enough to accuse them of selling out.

True words spoken! Finally. They were NEVER sell out. Those idiots just call them so coz they don't love the new sound of it lol if they would, they wouldn't even think of them being sell out band. Linkin park is anything but a sell out. Always stayed true to themselves, changing, evolving constantly despite what was "cool" or accepted by mainstream at the time. They had a quite particular sound. and everytime people criticized them for being just enough of that sound at a certain piont, they improved their songwriting far enough till everyone ultimately had to give them credit for that. but their latest album was a total sell-out! from the lyrics to the sound over the collaborations to all those 3.5minutes pop-synth-songs! u tell me that stuff was made out of some sort of artistic expression? they made an album cause they could and it sounded the way it did cause they didnt care. the last album is the ultimate definition of sell out! u can make pop music! its ok! but they brought absolutely nothing new to the table after burning through probably millions and millions of dollars of resources! so they just decided to do what everyone else is doing to sell some stuff... u dont call that sell out?!?!?

racer24t No, in the last minute or so of Nobody Can Save Me there's a really satisfying subtle guitar lead and the whole album overall might be synth lead but it isn't all that poppy. Halfway Right takes elements from edm and rock, Sharp Edges takes more folk influences and Good Goodbye is a rap influenced song. There's a shit ton of variation on this album but you're too stuck up to realise it

As sad as it is to say this album just feels very sellout. And I like some pop music. I love Lady Gaga. But I don’t feel she ever tried to conform she just makes what she wants. I feel linkin Park has done that for a all there records. This just felt like a whole other group. There is no problem changing styles, many artist do but still feels like them. This album lacks any linkin Park feel.

This doesn't sound like Linkin Park??? 'She Couldn't' proves that this is the actual origin style of the band and they were way ahead of the time. Do you wanted them to make 5 different versions of Hybrid Theory with each sounding much worse and boring? They focused on the lyrics and sound Melody first.How is it a sellout when it actually sounds good and beautiful? If anything, Linkin Park pop is way better than 90% of mainstream pop. People called OML a sellout but in reality they should call K-Pop sellout because K-Pop makes the most generic and trash pop I've ever heard. Infact OML sounds more beautiful than The Hunting Party.
