those lyrics are the best of the song. it really means a lot to me. i suffer with depression and anxiety, and if i could describe how i feel everyday, the lyrics of heavy are close to that.

Chester always sounds 500% better live
@DaP848 жыл бұрын
Nope, he's not good with intonation. He's almost always a bit off pitch! That's a pitty, because he's got a really good voice otherwise.
@bravozero68 жыл бұрын
DaP84 opinions differ I guess
@DaP848 жыл бұрын
That's a fact that's clearly detectable for eveyone with great pitch perception. And it's proovable with tuning gear. I'm musician myself, I'm very sensitive to small pitch deviations. Here it all the time with Linkin Park live. Same thing with some of my other favorite bands, lite RHCP and Billy talent. The singers all have great voices, but arn't that good with pitch.
@bravozero68 жыл бұрын
DaP84 sounding better doesn't mean their pitches are always perfect it's conception.

If all you want is rock music.. then you should know LP is not the band for you.
@h3a7t948 жыл бұрын
Nano Nerfer Dont kid yourself... LP was highly criticized bsck in 2007 and 2010 for going softer.. The "go to" word was " pop shit" 2017 comes around... And all the sudden ATS is rock music? if you called ATS rock music about 7 years ago you would be laughed at.. Seems like people today categorize everything as rock music. Even the chainsmokers and Mumford & sons is categorized as rock.. Thats fucking ridiculous, man.
@h3a7t948 жыл бұрын
Nano Nerfer You can go off and call it all rock music. still doesnt change the fact that society called ATS pop music 7 years ago. Hell if we are calling it all rock music... No wonder society labels mumford and sons as rock music.. or lorde who won an award for best rock music a while back. And calm yourself down because you're not msking sense... When did ' heavy" became hip hop!? 😂😂
@miguelzazueta20518 жыл бұрын
Easy, dudes. LP is for everyone :)
@h3a7t948 жыл бұрын
Nano Nerfer Buddy read your earlier comments.. you were so triggered you called it hip hop😂😂 and now your tween ass follows up with ( and I qoute):" And it's pop moron". Perhaps your naive young mind can't bring itself to understand my point.. People label everything as " rock" music today.. just because Maroon 5 has a drummer and a guitarist does not automatically make it rock music.. And both MTM and ATS were labled pop music. Ofcourse this was the perception 7 years ago.. lorde winning an award for best rock song is evident enough that today's society can't distinguish what is rock and what is not..Even " Robot Boy" is falsly labeled under rock music. hell with that..." Rebellion " was labeled ' Nu metal" By rock band.. which is utterly ridiculous.

Who is a fan of Linkin Park knows very well that they were never a rock band nor naked metal. They always put them like these genres but they already lived talking that they do not have labels. I've been a fan for 14 years so I can say very well that they like to do different things on every album that is released. The new song is pop and yes people. They like to risk new things. As if you fans have never realized that. I liked. Who does not like it will listen to the songs that like them and stop complaining until after you will end up buying the cd that I know hahahaha

There's 2 kids of people. People who say that we should blindly respect whatever path Linkin Park takes, and people who say that Linkin Park has lost their way and needs to go back to music that sounds like this cover. It is my opinion that Linkin Park did not naturally evolve their music to sound so pop-like, but rather they made a pop album to stay relevant. That said, Linkin Park is nothing without it's fans. We are just as important as the people making the music. While it is their music, I think they should take the fans interests into consideration. There were two points at which I lost respect for this band. First, when I heard how generic and lyrically weak Heavy sounded. Second, when they made a mockery of their fans by jokingly doing a rock cover of Heavy, almost as though to suggest that the opinions of their fans don't matter, and that the fans should just appreciate the hell out of every little thing Linkin Park does. I think they have lost touch with the people who made Linkin Park what it is today. They are suffering the effects of the fame we gave to them, and they have demonstrated it in the shadow of pretentiousness that they cast upon their fans today. Thank you.

The genre is not rock, no. You would be correct there. What MAKES it rock is the fact that it's different, which they had the balls to do, and that's pretty rock to me haha. Oh, and I've been listening to them ever since they came out.
