July 20, 2017... A day I cant forget. I just walked out of hospital, all my prayers failed, I was crying my eyes out. One of my best friends just lost his fight with cancer (way too young)... I was totally lost and selfishly hurt I got in my Jeep, too foggy eyed to drive. I grabbed phone to jack in some music and saw "Chester Bennington dead." I dropped my phone. I just got numb. What a shitty day, to have to remember. But somehow LIFE goes on falling apart and piecing itself back together. So for me thats a 2fer day... Brett and Chester gone but never forgotten. It's odd how certain days can become any day and haunt you but not really in a bad way. I will still get all down, and lost in the silence... And yet it's like this its a reminder to LIVE... not just exist. My LIFE has changed so much since then, and is still changing I have learned to let go of all that tries to not allow me to LIVE my true LIFE Sometimes that means letting go of living dead people also. When people pass on but still affect and teach you... Their LIFE was never a loss! aho \o/

That was really sad to hear bro for all the things you've had been through, the year 2017 can't be forgotten as it introduced me to Linkin Park. It was also the same year I was just coping from paralysis and came out of the hospital. That year was really hard for me and my family. Presently, I'm doing good by God's grace, and this song gives me those nostalgic moments.

Such a hauntingly beautiful song! This one and "Shadow of the Day" have such a deeper meaning when you think about Chester's fate a few short years after this song came out. When the guitar solo comes in at 2:42, it feels so hopeful, and the build up is absolutely amazing!! Sadly that hope never came for Chester. RIP to a very talented musician. Hopefully he has found the peace he never found here on earth.
