Linkin Park has always been my favorite band. It's weird to miss someone you never met, but I still think of Chester at least once a day. His honesty and vulnerability was medicine for a whole generation. I can't even imagine the amount of lives he saved. No one can ever sing "Numb" like him. I was around 12yrs old when Numb was playing on the radio. When I first heard this song and after that In The End. I was hooked to LP and Evanescence *and various bands* for years. Im 29 now and I still listen to these songs. When Chester passed and I saw Mike start his solo career after the incident. The memories and albums I have, won't fade. Chester, I love and miss you so much and I could literally cry each day that you're gone. Holy mother of marshmallows. I love this! It gives a completely different feel to the original and I love it. It almost feels that you’re drowning. Dude, if this is your best shot, goddamn you did brilliantly! Linkin Park helped me get through my high school years, which was sadly the lowest point of my life due to heavy bullying leading me to become horribly depressed and severely socially anxious. Even now at 30 years old, I'm still dealing with the repercussions of those years. But every day, Linkin Park's music was there. I still remember the day he died; my mum coming into my room to ask me if I'd seen any news, then letting me know Chester had died and the frantic search through news sites to confirm it. It's still hard to believe he's truly gone. The world lost a legendary man that day, but we keep his memory and legacy alive with beautiful covers like this and continuing to love the music he and the band created together.

I would love to hear "Papercut" or "Crawling" to hear your voice in a more energetic tone, though perhaps "In the End" might fit your calm voice more, though it would still be difficult. This gave me chills from the first word. Linkin Park is my favorite band too, and Chester's death is the only celebrity death that really affected me personally, because I've been listening to his voice for eighteen years now! I'm floored by how you were able to take one of their songs, a song that will always have THEIR sound, and somehow effortlessly make it YOURS. I would love to hear more covers from you. More LP would be awesome - I'd love to hear what you could do with "Final Masquerade," "Castle of Glass," or "One More Light." And I don't know if you know the band Trading Yesterday (David Hodges), but I've always thought there's a certain similarity between you and him. Not always the sound, exactly, but the...emotion, I guess? I would absolutely love it if you could do a cover of "Shattered" or "Desert Lands" - or any other David Hodges song! But whatever song you decide to make next, I know it will be beautiful
