Gee I wonder why. Is it cause they used the Linkin Park name? Is it because most LP "fans" nowadays feel guilty about trashing the band and pretty much driving Chester to suicide? Or is it the typical lazy gender swap that is infesting movie remakes and now Music?

In no way is the reunion an attempt to be unique with the gender swap it's just that Emily felt like the best choice for the band it took years to make that decision. And actually, it's because a majority of fans aren't chronically online and waste their time hating on their favorite band and simply enjoy the new direction.

@@postl3 oh yes let’s ask what she thinks the direction the band should go. You know… the band she’s been in for what a month? It’s the same pop metal bs people were hating on when Chester was around but now since it’s a girl if you don’t like it your sexist and it’s totally not because it’s a lame cash grab. It’s just like static X and zero. Just like Pantera with a washed up Phil and Rex and the good most important half of the band is dead. You go ahead and enjoy it if you want but the people that are upset by this just see it for what it is.

@@alxofficial1541 No, if you'd actually look into what the band said, it took years to finally make this decision; It's been an insane healing process for all of them but overtime they decided they want to continue as a band. Why? Cause they don't deserve to have their band name damned because of tragedy, and they have full right to continue with that name. They wouldn't decide to do a "cash grab" randomly 7 years later. They wouldn't have sat down as a band after years of hard thinking about the future, write and work on songs for months on end just for a cashgrab. That has never been the Linkin Park way, not then, not now. They all love making music and they all decided they want to come back and do what they love again.

@@postl3 stop acting like you know what they want or what they stood for. Every band has the same goal, to sell tickets and have people listen to their music especially a mainstream pop metal band. So far two of the members have bailed ever think it’s cause they don’t like this new direction? They wanna stay “behind the scenes” and get that sweet LP pay check. Yeah they came back after 7 years cause those royalty checks get smaller and smaller the less music you put out and papa Shinoda needs a nice new pair of shoes.

@@Cody2Scoops So? Floor Jansen in Nightwis is magnificent and probably best female singer in this generation. Yet they tuned songs down for her to be more comfortable. Sabaton have the same singer since begining and they are tuning down song for life shows all the time in comparition of how they are on albums. Every singer, better or worst, have difference voice and difference rannge. And different comfort zone. That does not them better or worst singer. Just different.

Saw linkin park in 2003. My first concert. Been a lifelong fan but this choice has soured me on them. Makes me question Shinoda & his judgement. There’s no room for R ape apologists in my playlists.

Half the band? So just one member? Be real, almost all of them are back so it IS Linkin Park. They're doing this to carry on the iconic name of the band and to honor Chester's life and legacy.

@@XxSEETH3RxX It won't last. Look at Foo Fighter, Dave succed cuz he didn't press to keep Nirvana going and choose a new path. Chrir knows that too. Is veeeeery hard to keep an iconic band going if the main singer and face of the group (like it or not, you say LP you think of Chester)... Also a female into a very heavy band... idk.
