It hurts becuase Linkin Park was the whole reason me and my friends started our band when we were in middle school. It's so hard to let go and lay our idol to rest. Honestly I could never, no, I won't ever forget Chester and the inspiration he gave us to make music and the love and compassion I've come to express through it. I remember it very clearly, Somewhere I Belong was the first Linkin Park song I ever came in touch with. Meteora was my very first CD, bought with my pocket money. I felt their music so much, got their Hybrid Theory afterwards, and LP has accompanied me through my life ever since. I can't believe this journey is over. I'm so sad Chester lost his fight (or his will to fight). I am glad that there are so many people showing affection, and I love that you re-uploaded this video to show what Chester's music meant to you. I hope he's found peace and is flying with the Angels.

probably nobody is going to read this but i just want to share how i feel about Chester's death, im a drummer, and im looking forward to bass and guitar, when i was 7 or 8 i started to enter to the music world, with wich band? you guess it. Linkin Park, this band, was my doors to the music world, i seriously dont know what kinda music i ended up listening if it wasnt for Linkin Park. A few months back they reached to my country (Argentina) in a tour, and for money issues i could not buy a ticket for the show, i feel so fucking terrible right now because they definitely arent my favorite band, but the most significative by far, now Chester has passed away and i've never been in a Linkin Park show. As a a math-metal and old school punk/hardcore drummer I have to say what a great video this is. I've spent most if my life hating this band and everything they participated in musically but for some reason I find myself teary eyed the last few days. Great Video! My bother called me close to tears and told me that Chester has past away last night. My first thought where to care and comfort my little brother who is a much greater linkin park fan then i am. I said that Chester gave what he could give to the world and made it a better place by inspiring a lot of people and that we can try to give something from ourself and become better people and make this world a better place and honor Chester by doing that. After the call i talk with my girlfriend about the loss and started realizing what happend and what great impact Linkin Parks music had in my life! Chesters lyrics helped me through the toughest days of my life. Sharing his missery with the people who cared or lived through simelar emotions helped so many or at least me... I started to cry next to my girl! He is dead. Will he rest in peace!

I've now realized thats Chester planned his suicide He killed himself on the day of Chris Cornell's birthday on purpose he thought it would make a difference in his life but it didn't it just ended it When I found out that he killed himself I was heartbroken and just so sad Ive been listening to this band all day long scince 11:00 this morning So many people loved him and he just took his life just like that and now people all over the world who were inspired by him I guess he just thought none of it mattered and all that mattered was his sadness for his friend Chris Cornell's death. I know about that. But he did it on Chris Cornell's birthday, so it may have something to do with that. He stopped using drugs a few years ago, and I knew about his depression. He clearly got some help, otherwise he wouldn't be so open about his depression. I guess something pushed him over the edge. He once said he would be dead if it hadn't been for music.
