Student Query : Adjournment or pass over same baat hai sir ????? (what is difference between Adjournment and Pass-over ?) Linking Answer : - Though both are similar concept but there is technical difference . Adjournment to some extent deal with by procedural laws . in passover = after finishing the complete list of cases, the Hon'ble Judges take up the pass over matter (subject to completion of list , which generally does not occur), eventually case adjourned e.g. when an advocate has numerous cases in one day, he cannot attend to all of them at the same time

No, both are different...pass over means to put case on different serial no. so that the case can be heard later (after 1 or 2 hrs) and adjournment means to adjourn the hearing of case for other next day

@simrankhan7077 they have same concept but they are kinda different. Adjournment is fixing next date for hearing but If an advocate is appearing in another court on another matter, he may ask for a pass over , as the judges heard cases in series , by passover the adv. Case will be heard later, as per series .
