[Lyrics] When you were standing in the wake of devastation When you were waiting on the edge of the unknown And with the cataclysm raining down, insides crying, "Save me now" You were there, impossibly alone Do you feel cold and lost in desperation? You build up hope, but failure's all you've known Remember all the sadness and frustration And let it go Let it go And in a burst of light that blinded every angel As if the sky had blown the heavens into stars You felt the gravity of tempered grace, falling into empty space No one there to catch you in their arms Do you feel cold and lost in desperation? You build up hope, but failure's all you've known Remember all the sadness and frustration And let it go Let it go Do you feel cold and lost in desperation? You build up hope, but failure's all you've known Remember all the sadness and frustration And let it go Let it go Let it go Let it go Let it go Do you feel cold and lost in desperation? I have never cried over any type of "celebrity" or famous music artist. But Linkin Park's music helped me through so much growing up. I was 5 years old when my dad and his brother introduced me to their music. They would blast Linkin Park's music when they'd pick me up from school. I was in kindergarten when I started liking them, and as I grew up I started seeing them as a musical inspiration. When I was 13, life handed me the shit end of the stick and I was faced with a tragic death in my family. And me being the oldest out of my two siblings I felt I had to sacrifice my feelings to show them that everything would be okay and I felt I and I had to be strong for them. My mom was dealing with the loss of her brother and my grandparents were dealing with the loss of their son. And my dad was trying to be there for my mom, so I felt I had to step in and do be there for my younger siblings. I remember listening to this song specifically, and crying because I had held in my emotions so much and this song helped me through so much. I am now 17 and still tearing up from time to time that Chester is gone. He was one of the many artists that inspired me to learn to play guitar and get into making my own music. I can't believe you're gone Chester, Rest In Piece

Listening to this at 12AM, with headphones on, eyes closed, all teary-eyed, just... contemplating life I guess. I know every single one of us, no matter what age or race or gender, is going through something and listening to this song just exponentiates all the hurt, anger, sadness to a completely different level. I don't usually write paragraphs like this, but right now I'm kind of going through a rough patch in my life. I've been feeling empty lately, like I'm not needed at all or like I don't have a purpose in life. There's this void in my heart and it feels endless. I'm not, by any means, suicidal. To all of you who are, please, please think it over. I know the world can be lonely, but you'll be surprised how many people on the internet can REALLY relate and resonate with you. You will never be alone in your suffering. Well I guess that concludes my venting

After a childhood listening to nothing but country music, I began listening to rock in high school. Linkin Park was one of the first bands I heard and they were an instant favorite because their sound was so unique. Chester's gritty, soulful voice and Mike's clear, clean melody just made them one of the few bands I consistently would crank up the volume when one of their songs would come on the radio and sing along. Chester, you were the voice of a generation. Some, like me, found you in our teenage years when we were looking for an identity. Others grew up listening to you. Losing you is like losing a dear childhood friend, someone a lot of us never met, but loved and held dearly. You'll be missed by a world you were taken from all too soon. But your memory will live on in the people who loved you and your music. Your spirit will shine through every time a stereo is cranked to maximum over cheap car speakers, the driver singing along at the top of their lungs while they drive down a highway. You will be remembered, you will be loved, you will be missed deeply. And one more thing... Thank you, Chester, for everything...

Best song ever by Linkin Park. I've been struggling with Anxiety, Depression, and emotional conflicts/insecurities since I was 12, which is ironic because Transformers Dark of the Moon on DVD was my birthday gift (My birthday is September 14th, and the DVD came out on September 30th, 2011) but anyway This song is comforting and heartbreaking at the same time, especially at 3:44 because that's my biggest problem, at the end of the day I struggle to do this; let go of everything that's gone wrong, hurt me, or bothers me but I'm trying and that's all that matters. Long live Linkin Park, Rest in Peace, and Thank you, Chester Bennington and Transformers (1, 2, and 3 only) for making life bearable/better.

💔When you were standing in the wake of devastation When you were waiting on the edge of the unknown And with the cataclysm raining down, insides crying save me now You were there impossibly alone. Do you feel cold and lost in desperation You build up hope but failure's all you've known Remember all the sadness and frustration And let it go, let it go. And in the burst of light that blinded every angel As if the sky had blown the heavens into stars You felt the gravity of temper grace falling into empty space No one there to catch you in their arms Do you feel cold and lost in desperation You build up hope but failure's all you've known Remember all the sadness and frustration And let it go, let it go.💔

"Iridescent" When you were standing in the wake of devastation When you were waiting on the edge of the unknown And with the cataclysm raining down Insides crying, "Save me now" You were there, impossibly alone Do you feel cold and lost in desperation? You build up hope, but failure's all you've known Remember all the sadness and frustration And let it go, let it go And in a burst of light that blinded every angel As if the sky had blown the heavens into stars You felt the gravity of tempered grace Falling into empty space No one there to catch you in their arms Do you feel cold and lost in desperation? You build up hope, but failure's all you've known Remember all the sadness and frustration And let it go, let it go Do you feel cold and lost in desperation? You build up hope, but failure's all you've known Remember all the sadness and frustration And let it go Let it go Let it go Let it go Let it go Do you feel cold and lost in desperation? You build up hope, but failure's all you've known Remember all the sadness and frustration And let it go, let it go

The fact that people are comparing the two. Thats like comparing heavy metal to classical.
