19:47 In the last question you considered 3LJ, 5LJ and 7LJ But if that so how could we consider the links 2,3,5,6,7&8 as single links, since there is a joint between shouldn't there be 2 links instead of one? Can someone clarify please?

See 6 5 7LJ are present on same link but we consider any part as a link when there is motion of one link with respect to other. Now in this link 5LJ is just a support betn two crossing links so we have considered 5lJ but the link is only one.... Hope this will clear ur doubt... Best of luck

Thank you for comment This will help you See when we have to show links on paper we have to draw lines but when the link is in some filled shape (let say a cardbord) then that portion we have to shown by shaded portion so we have to consider it as one line which gives support to another . Pls sir can I also define the higher joint as any joint that that is capable of moving within the connected slot Like what we have in the question above, where we have the bolts even if there wasn't any bolts there but it is fixed in such a way that it can still move as if there was the bolts can we still call it a higher joint? Thank you

bro in that semi circle question ..how there is only one higher joint ....it should be 2 or...because for one circle in contact with the surface then it is haivng 1 higher joint ..but for 2 it should be 2 na????

It's not like 2 circle 2 higher joints It's all about joints 1 circle is 1 link Another circle is another link And when two links meet Than only 1 joint is formed As it's a joint which has point contact Thats why that one joint is higher joint.

I do not understand how the mechanism in the 12:34 example has 7 links, and not 8 or 6.
@himajatejaswini74574 жыл бұрын
I don't know if you have considered slider as a link. If you consider it as a link (it should be considered as a link) then it has clearly 7 links..or you might be thinking 4th and 6th link be considered as a single link, if it is the case then it must have 6 links. But it's his opinion to consider it as same link or two different link, the doubt arises naturally since both links connected in a straight line(180° angle), if they are connected at some angle, no doubt arises.

When dof is 1 means body/ mechanism had ony one direction to move then we call it as fully constraints mechanisms.. Consider an example of stick and it's both ends are fixed then that stick will not able to move in any direction or not able to rotate in x, y, z axis so it called 0 degrees of freedom.. Hope you understand the concept fully Still if you have doubt chek my other videos you will completely get knowledge Thank you Please drop like share and subscribe channel to motivate me

@@howtostudio3900 what is the difference between successfully constrained mechanism and fully constrained mechanism ?
@ankursingh19124 жыл бұрын
@@Sycoraxgaming1 fully (complete)constrained motion is one in which the the relative motion in pair is independent of direction of force and the relative motion can only take place in one direction. ex : rod in axle with collars in which it can only rotate and cannot move in any other direction. Incomplete on other hand means that direction is not predefined in pair and relative motion will take place according to direction of force . ex rod in axle without collar. Then there is third mechanism which is successfully CM , it is one in which the pair can have different relative motion but it is configured in such a way that it only movesin one direction examples is valve of an IC engine.
