Rargh tip for when youre able to access shops in Al Krid; if you need coins and can use crafting, you can buy uncut sapphire and emeralds from the gem shop and sell cut ones back for a profit. I did this on my ironman the other day when j was short for my addy plateleg

Link, it lowers their def by what you hit as long as you weren’t the last one to attack them. I believe they did that for kind of a lore connection to its name (Snipe) and the way Zanik uses it in the quest.
