So it's likely this same Merchant in RE4/REmake 4 has social connections established to acquire the military grade items for selling on the black market to any willing customers.

sé que llego algo tarde a comentar el video, pero viendo la manera tan sospechosamente "normal" en la que el modelo de Luis se comporta pasada su línea de tiempo real en el juego, siento que Capcom realmente estuvo pensando muy seriamente en agregar una especie de modo cooperativo a la campaña principal del juego, como algun modo desbloqueable, obviamente fuera del canon, hubiera sido interesante tener a luis jugando contigo hasta terminar el juego.

I honestly was hoping for them to heavily alter the story of Luis and let him reach the Island. It would've been awesome if the first sections of the Island had Leon and Luis working together with Leon growing more kind to him before Krauser or Saddler finally puts an end to Luis. Sucks they didn't but at least they let him help Leon during the Mine section.

I'm no expert in game design but I have a few theories for why certain interactions happen. 1. Why is Luis grabbed and killed. If you have noticed Granados aren't the only thing that can grab Ashley. Dogs in the maze for example can too and they will begin doing the same animation as they do to Leon. So I'd guess both Ashley and Luis in the core are treated like Leon is. Which means they can get grabbed like he can. However since you're not supposed to have either with you when facing krauser for example the devs didn't program these enemies to be able to be shot off. So they get grabbed and treated like Leon but since they aren't him there's nothing we can do. 2. Why did Luis die in the bridge. I'd guess in early design there were supposed to be enemies/locations that could kill Luis. But the devs removed these. Or More likely Luis is treated like your partner and if your partner dies you fail the mission. However Luis has his "HP" removed so he can only be killed by hitting a trigger that instantly kills all entities. Like the bridge. 3. Why is Luis randomly tp:ING to the ski. Obviously it's because he's swimming behind it at the same speed and he's just jumping to catch his breath.

Perhaps a prototype partner feature for Resident Evil 5, we can imagine? That is assuming the ammunition that Chris or Sheva uses are not limited like the original RE5 and go like Revelations though the AI partner, despite having unlimited ammo, is weak in Revelations.
