I agree. That's why I attempt to force my guitar to sound like a bass using the Boss Sy-1 pedal. I can't actually do it since NOTHING replaces a bass, of course. I just like the sound. My strings are too thin. AND the incredible percussive nature of the bass can't be replaced.
