I get the impression you have fifths tuning, just trying to understand logic of your lighting scheme, you are lighting C as the 'accent' light, and also light up Fs in blue? Is it for aesthetics, just to better navigate the top row?

Each row is laid out in 5ths, from bottom (low) to top, and the root note in the scale is in dark blue with the 5th in lighter blue. It's similar to my old 6 string electric violin, but with extra strings. Everything is fully configurable on the Linnstrument and I've been experimenting with different options (you can see different layouts in earlier vids), initially trying to work out what would be easiest for chords, but I seem to be drifting back into one/two notes at a time looping. The lights are purely so that I have places for the fingers to land, plus they look good too. There are lots of options for light aesthetics on the Linnstrument, but I try to keep it as simple as possible.

Actually tell a lie... I seem to have it tuned in 7ths on the Linn setting?... I'm really confused. This isn't like a violin, and I should know as I used to play professionally. lol I'll try to work out what I've done and how I've set it up and do a youtube vid to explain it all when it's all set in stone

@@stuwyatt No, it is tuned with an offset of 7 *semitones*, which equals perfect fifths. That's the confusion.

Ah, that makes sense! Thank you. My brain imploded when I tried to explain it to you, so double checked on the menu of the Linnstrument. I get it now. Thanks!
