The first and second coats benefit if you make the oil thinner. Enables the oil to penetrate further into the cotta.

no, but there are other rooms where we have applied the lineseed oil, then a sealer product called Oxane. It is lovely. In this room, we haven't finished the work, so we will do the final sealer when we are done.
