i feel like the snare sound is like constantly changing...it was fat and then it wasnt and then it was and then it was a slight bit poking out...is the mic moving? learning to mix here...kinda trying to learn. but the performance is killer!! thanks for sharing!

Hey Jimmy- The microphones never moved this entire session. You are correct the snare sound is constantly changing to fit the vibe of the groove. The snare drums were the only things that changed throughout the entire session. I used a Ludwig Acrolite (in this video) and a Ludwig Black Beauty. This was the only song in the session I used the Acrolite on. Both are great workhorse drums and you can get a lot of different vibes and tunings out of them. If you are looking for a phat/wet snare sound check out the company "Big Fat Snare Drum". Thanks again for giving these a listen. I really appreciate it man!
