The height of the beam maybe a good or bad thing since having a higher beam would also mean more light towards the welcoming vehicles specially if its the fog light. But I do like the intensity of the Keon Sondra, its just that the price is something really to think about.

Relate na relate ako sa pagiging napaka particular sa specs at research talaga muna bago bumili. Kaya andito ako at naenjoy ang very thorough review nyo sa ks. Bro, dalin mo ang upgraded mo na lights kay Gary Q of The Retrofit Shop sa Ortigas Pasig, he has a light meter that can show how intense your lights are in lux values and not lumens…. Highly reco yan sakin, jan ako nagpa retrofit ng headlight ko from stock to HID…. 10yrs na kotse ko anlinaw pa din ng buga!

Ang maganda pag sa reputable shop bumili ay pede mong itesting for a night or more and if hinde ka satisfied ay ibalik lang the next day or kung kelan mo gusto within the week.

Nice investigative work. Ford Everest 2020 owner here also contemplating headlight upgrade. Assuming both lamps were similarly adjusted or aligned, the Orion"s throw seem to light more of the road than KS but the downside is the yellow hue pales in comparison to KS {42:43}. In heavy rain we know which is more useful. I need the strongest fog lights since I sometimes traverse mountain roads under heavy fog. I agree the price difference is a big letdown. However, I am willing to pay more if it will save my life and my Everest when the going gets rough visavis poor performers. For me who, at times, drive at 120-140 kph clip, I find the factory installed led is a letdown. I follow Sergiu Gabor, Headlight Revolution and another KZbinr {forgot his name at the moment} doing led comparisons. These subject the various leds to rigorous testing and some break down during testing. I was surprised to learn that leds lumen output is never the same at the start and after running for awhile. so the claimed 2000 lumens when measured again to simulate actual driving conditions will go down. Even big name leds fall in comparison vs newcomers. Surprise, surprise.

To be honest, change your windshield tint to light, that would make a huge difference regardless mag KS or Orion ka, even mag retrofit. Yung dark tint talaga ang kalaban. Thanks for watching 👍

Let me preface my comment that I am a LED flashlight nerd. The strobe effect that you saw with the Orions are due to Pulsed Width Modulation, an effect seen in more affordable LED units. They may not be visible to the naked eye but when you start going through rain or a very dusty environment, the strobing effects might be noticeable to your naked eyes. This is the same reason why some people get irritated by unregulated LED lights. The Keon Sondras on the other hand, seems to use a current controlled circuit. This produces a more steady beam without a strobing/pulsed effect. This is common in more expensive LED units. The beam profile plus the color rendering index (CRI) of the Keon Sondras appear to be more pleasing to my eyes compared to the Orions where the intense yellow beam washes out details and color in the driving environment. Good job sir in making this video! I totally agree and congratulate you with your nice Keon Sondra sets. Makes me want to get a set for myself. More power po sa inyo!

I share the same sentiment. Ok ang KS but overly priced to the point na almost taga. Good LED lighting should be reasonably priced, pangit ng message na communicate ng KS if only people who don't care about spending wisely are the only ones who can afford or yung people with deep pockets.

I like more the cut off ng Orion. Kung gusto natin na tumaas konti ang foglights ay pede nman iadjust...sa kotse ko ay pina angat ko ng about an inch, kahit hinde ako gumamit ng low sa traffic situation ay ok lang, pinapatay ko kasi ang low ko during traffic, sakit sa mata pag nagreflect sa unahang kotse, i'm using Osram H4 Led sa headlight....sa foglights ay gusto kong palitan ng yellow after seeing your video, i'm using Kostef H11 6000k sa fogs....nice video btw.

Hi sir. I watched this review multiple times and I went for the same, KS sa headlights (5k Kelvin) then Orion Air (3K Kelvin) sa fogs. I'm really satisfied with the output, btw i'm using xpander. Pinababa ko lang ung sa headlight, driver side, para kahit pano di makasilaw sa mga kasalubong.

I installed a Keon Sondra on my montero, both on my headlights and fog lights. Comparing it to stock and other LED brands I owned, it is quite strong specially the fog. I got the 6K for your info. I was satisfied actually specially during dry season. However, during rainy days and if you go to Baguio or Tagaytay, the asphalt eats up the light as in nothing. The Kelvin might have something to do with it since my immediate solution to put a yellow tint on my fogs. Resolved it but not enough output. From what I observed on my Montero, the light doesn’t have a cut-off and quite blurred specially if you shift it to high beam. It also glares other drivers since there’s no cut off on the beam. The headlights, I cannot go beyond the suggested wattage since the projector housing is plastic. Eventually, I decided to retrofit the headlights to HID and it’s a lot better. Clear cut-off with 5500k color and 35W ballast. It’s a lot better now. The good thing about retrofit for HID is that I can change the ballasts to 55W once the lights die down, and no need to change the whole projector light. Unlike retrofit for LED, you have to change the whole projector again. Quite invasive for conservatives, but necessary for safety. As for Keon Sondra, can be appreciated if you use it for fog with 5500K and below, and for reflector lights. But for projector, not sure if everyone will appreciate it.

Keon Sondra and Orion pa lang po Sir ang na try ko. I suggest punta kayo sa reputable shop na may warranty. Then ask them kung pwede magpa test fit, para makita nyo kung maganda yung application ng bulb nila sa Montero nyo. Meeon din po Montero owners group sa FB, join po kayo,I'm sure marami silang nakapag try na and can make a good suggestion. what if adjust mo height ng fog lamps when using orion? may effect kc sa buga ng ilaw ang positioning ng led. i still think overpriced ang KS. regarding sa flickering hindi kita ng mata yan kc flickering naman talaga ang LED ng sobrang bilis camera lang nakakakita. pansin mo ba ung DRL mo flickering sa camera pero di mo kita ng mata mo na flickering sya. Now gamit ko kc halogen parin dahil not a fan ng white light wala ako makita in my case I am color deficient, yellow and warm lights help me see some colors. about sa flickering , nothing wrong with that kung sa naked eye wla nmn flickering na nangyayari . it just means yung fps or frames per second of recording ng camera doesnt match yun frequency of electricity produced sa led kaya may strobing effect pag pinanood yun recording. para mawala yun flickering need lng iadjustt yun fps setting sa camera, usual setting nyan nasa 30fps , try switch sa higher fps like 60 or 120. Mas mababa yun frequency ng led ng KS kaya wla strobing effect sa video

Very good job sir sa review. I too have dilemma on what brand of led and what tech of light. Naka-HID ako and HATE ko talaga ang LED kasi sabog. I'm at the market kasi palitin na yung fog hid bulbs ko and I'm considering LED kasi pag nag high beam flasher ako ang tagal umilaw ng HID nagpapa-init pa, may high beam function kasi fogs ko maliban sa may magandang cut-off dahil upgraded to projectors. Seeing your fog lights na sabog lalo na nung nagamitan ng KS eh kahit di pa tayo nagkakasalubong nakakabadtrip na. Well they should sell LED products to those that were using projectors. Wag na nila benta sa mga naka reflector type. Kasi kahit anong down aim ang gawin yung scattered light di makokontrol. If used sa high beam and fog lights ok lang kasi fog lights minsan lang gagamitin pero kung laging naka-on ang fog light tapos reflector tapos led wag nalang or do upgrade to projector fog lamps instead. Anyways, yung orion mas ok yung focus ng ilaw. Maganda yung focus kasi flat led ang gamit ng Orion hindi katulad sa KS na may dome yung led pero kahit mas maganda cut-off ng Orion still nakakasilaw parin kasi reflector type at may scattered light pa rin so not recommended. Cant tell alin sa dalawa ang malakas. I suggest buy lux meter or download lux meter app sa phone. reliable na rin pang compare yung ambient light sensor ng phone. Malakas sa malakas yung high beam KS pero on that price hmmmm, I need to check them first gaano kalakas talaga in lux, kasi sa presyong ganyan dapat malakasan pa nya gamit kong osram night breaker laser which is dubbed as brightest in the market today. Will try to drop on KS and Orion both tomorrow para magkaalaman. Parang gusto ko tuloy gumawa rin ng yt video about this. Again badtrip yung LED sa reflector type. Ok lang sa high beam dahil its purpose is to scatter light pataas at malawak.

In my case naman, I went with Orion then sinolyn projector fog light housing for my 2019 Terra. More or less nasa 9k din gastos ko. Sealed kasi head lights ng terra (VL variant) and di pwede retrofit HL since nasa warranty pa.

good point, that's still a lingering question, will the cheap LED's really mess up the ford elecs? there were reports I read about some electronic parts that were damaged and the LED was "one of the suspects". but no hard proof. So, like i mentioned in the video, I was scared that's why i went with the most expensive one (KS) because it's attested by other ford everest owners that the KS did not cause any issue with their units. which doesnt' necessarily mean the cheap ones will. haven't really seen, heard or read about a real case of a cheap LED messing up the Ford Everest.

Using KS for half a year now on my Toyota Tundra dito sa US. No regrets, malakas talaga! Low beam 5000K.. kahit sa ulan. Same tayo ng set-up, fogs ko 3000K.. kaso wala ang KS ng 9145 bulb.

Hello po. Before your Keon Sondra headlights, ano po ang brand ng LED headlights nyo? And masasabi nyo bang ok na rin yung performance nya? Planning to buy LED headlights pero to pricey for me kasi ung KS. So im looking for the next best thing.😊

Finally! Someone has documented this one. Naranasan ko din yan. Di talaga maganda ang KS sa projector. Pwede pa sa reflector headlights. Sobrang bitin nung bato ng ilaw

Kumpara sa orion mas wide open ang buga ng KS, pero sakto lang sa application ko sa fogs. Yung orion naman narrow yung buga kits mo agad yung cutoff, pero nabibitin ako, sinubulan ko mag adjust pataas, gumanda liwanag sa harap pero humina sa baba, dko masyado kits yung lubak kapag malapit na. While sa KS, maliwanag sa unahan pati sa baba kasi wide ang buga.

I'm an Orion user but super satisfied sa Orion Max (fanless) all weather ko sa headlight ko and Orion Sigma (with fan) super white for foglight. All goods naman sya for me (installed on a Vios 2018) Pero inaatake ata ako ng upgradicitis kaya cinoconsider ko magpalit ng yellow foglight at super white sa headlight 😂 and cinoconsider ko yung KS. Thanks for very informative review sir. I think both of the brands are worth it naman kahit papano :)

I have Medium Dark tibt sa windshield, Dark sa front seats, and super dark dark sa back seats and rear ws. What recommendation would you suggest sa Fog and headlights? Im considering retrofit, Keonsondra or Orion. Also what Kelvin would you suggest.

Kung fog lamp orion air at keon sondra, maganda ang pagka yellow nang keon sondra sa orion air medyo matingkad ang pagka yellow, peru ang mahalaga maliwanag ang pag biyahe sa gabi.

Had a bad experience with keon sondra. Specifically, yung sto. tomas installer. I know you might wonder bakit sa sto. tomas pa instead of sa mismong KS main branch pero it was said by the owner of KS na branch din daw nila yun. I considered it as yun yung malapit sa place ko rather than the main branch. Anyway, the installer forced the mismatching led bulb into my headlight and deleted the dust cover without my knowledge. To be exact, the hot temperature melted a portion of the back side of my headlight in which I was forced to buy a replacement headlight kasi hindi na useable yung pinaka-mounting place ng bulb. I even tried reverting back to halogen before deciding to buy a new headlight housing but it was set in stone na talagang hindi na magagamit kasi tunaw na yung mounting area. Thus, the housing cannot hold any bulb in it anymore. Kinda sad na I paid for an overpriced LED tapos sinira pa yung housing ng headlight ko which resulted into another expense on my list. In my case, Keon Sondra isn't worth it at all. Hate me all you want pero the damage is done and now I lost a lot of cash just to resolve the problem they've caused me. Super disappointed pero maybe that's just me and my experience with this brand. I don't want to point a finger on who's who. But as I've mentioned, this is my experience with the brand. In my honest opinion, overpriced, for clout lang and may cheaper and effective alternatives (with same or better output pa!)

Mahal naman niyan, akin 50w each, 20k lumens, 3600 php. napaka liwanag. with 18 months warranty. CSP bulbs led ang dbest para sakin maganda buga, cree led ang keon. maliwanag pero nkakasilaw sa kasalubong.

To add, LED talaga malakas sa umpisa pero madaling masira at masusunog kagad yung chip pag di maganda yung heat dissipation. Time will tell kung tatagal ba talaga yung KS and Orion. Nakagamit na ko ng LED same led chip ni KS pero ibang brand wala pang 2years sunog na. Hay. almost 6k din yun. di ko na sabihin brand. Cebu based yung may-ari.

Karamihan sa Ford Everest group tumatagal ang KS nila, mahina na ang 2yrs. As mentioned sa video, yung cousin ng wife ko 5yrs na yung KS nya ok pa.

@@TeamDyTV at the price of KS we expect na ganun katagal buhay, ayos na ayos kung tumagal ng 5yrs. Maganda naman ata talaga sir based sa yt vid nyo at sabi ng iba copper talaga gamit sa heat sink which is good. testing ko nalang talaga itong KS and Orion personally para makita ko gano talaga kalakas in LUX. I still have time to consider LED kasi tagal pa dumating ng HID bulb ko from amazon.

@@TeamDyTV Disappointing result. I tested their demo units, measured them at 3.8meters distance I only got 1k to 1.1k lux. Nagpakuha ko ibang unit baka kasi magkaiba resulta but same result. I persuade them to install it at my left side fogs projector for comparison sa right side HID ko and same lang din result. At distance of 3.8meters halos parehas ng fog HID ko around 900 to 1100 lux. Disappointing talaga. yung hid bulbs ko sa fogs eh papalitan ko na yun dahil nahihinaan na ko dun. typical of hid after 3yrs use humihina but still on par with KS led. yung bnew HID ko sa main headlight it goes up around 6k to 7k lux. I even bring yung lumang headlamp ng fortuner namin na nakaprojector H11 halogen bulb it got 2200lux. siguro mukhang malakas lang yung LED dahil nasa reflector type. Its all true sabog lang LED kaya mukhang malakas. Di siguro compatible sa mga projectors but hey yung demo nila nasa projector housing. I didnt bother na pumunta pa sa orion coz tinawagan ko sila ayaw nila magpademo, wala raw sila demo unit, all sealed. Di ako bibili ng di ko sigurado ang mahal mahal 6k na sa kanila.

@@mangkaysably I was told before na kapag nilagay daw sa projector nababawasan yung buga, I don't know the technicalities kung lessened by how many LUX or by percentage. anyway, yeah, kung same lang din naman ang result sa existing HID mo, it doesn't make sense for you to change to LED.

mas nakakasilaw syempre ang KS kasi nga mas malakas, kaya after ng testing ko dito sa video, binaba ko ng konti. yung orion naman, maganda nga ang cutoff pero maiksi ang tapon kaya nabitin ako. mas ok sana kung malayo ang tapos tapos maganda cutoff. thanks for watching!
