Mozart played viola , it's the central instrument of string quartet . I continue to speak in french. Le violon est l'élément d'appel de la musique , sa tonalité acidulée est nécessairement équilibrée par l'alto plus grave et stabilisateur dans l'équilibre des timbres.. Pareillement dans le chant, une voix belle voix profonde d'alto est surprenante car convoque notre réceptivité à la dimension de l'infini..... Catherine Ferrier la grande chanteuse anglaise de l'immédiat après guerre possédait la voix du Siècle
