Hey man thank you for the useful demonstration, i bought 7 of these for my company, unfortunately i did not get the ethernet ones which is what i needed. I'm using them for an ipad POS app, and your method of using the USB cable with some sort of access point gives me hope, because i did not find any RS232 solution that works with my system. I'm just wondering how do i get the ip address of the printer once i connect it to an access point via USB, i would be grateful if you could help.

It depends on the the storage conditions. In sunlight, it will fade. Packed away at 20 C and it may last for a much longer time.

Without much information I do not think I am able to diagnose the issue with your printer. Some things to check would be the configuration in your software that tells your printer to cut.

Jess Gonzalez Are you seeing blurry text and images or just a blurry image? I’m assuming that you are sending text and images to the printer and not just an image. Some people put text in an image and this can happen. The printer needs at least 80 dots per centimetre or 203 dots per inch resolution in order to produce the image without pixelation.

I think that you need to provide a little bit more detail. What operating system are you using? I assume that the printer is not available from near a printer devices list. Have you rebooted your computer? More information would be good.

I am not sure if you can do this or not. I do not have enough information and the scope of this video is to demonstrate its use. There are a lot of PHP applications out there that will do what you are asking. Thanks.

You mentioned the UB-E03 ethernet interface. I also have this printer and bought a UB-E03. But I couldn't swap the interface (the RS-232 is attached by two one-way screws). Anyone had luck with swapping the interface?

The one way screws are to prevent a change. The model that you have does not allow the swap.

ENZO88SPEED With Windows programs, you can use the print driver like any other printer. With python you can print a formatted file or send escpos commands.

Yes. Just make sure the pdf is 79 mm wide. See my other video on how to convert a markdown file to a printable format.

williams mw This depends on a lot of factors. What print driver are you using and what OS? There is a setting that will cut the paper after the last text or image at the bottom of the paper.

Yes. The print drivers for windows will print just like any other printer. I have also printed from Linux as well using PDFs.

How'd you set up your computer to print a weather report like that?

I am using IFTTT to read the weather from Yahoo.com's website. The data is written as a PHP file to dropbox. I have a CRON job on a Linux Server that looks for files in a dropbox folder and sends them to the receipt printer. I am sure it is write only code. :)

Thank You Sir! I knew cron would be in there somewhere. It would be neat to create a setup that prints out useful content like you have and maybe some other stuff to go with it (random inspirational quote, bible verse, etc.). I'm using the 58mm width paper, so I have a bit of a challenge with formatting content. I'll look into the information and see what I can find out. Thanks again! :)
