Linux Basics: Understanding the time Command for New Users

Just bought both of your classes on Udemy. More than worth the amount of Linux you taught me. I just un-bricked my system after my kernel went bad from an update because I was able to use the Arch video you made to re-trace my steps when setting up the OS. Worked like a charm. Consider adding luks2 encryption to that video as an update, since it's more secure. Otherwise, thanks for all the teaching!

Hi Jay, my work pays for Comptia courses, so I have been slowly working my through these - Network+, Security+, CySA+. I am not new to Linux but am now working my way through Linux+ (might as well formalise what I already know). My work provides us with Udemy, and I have seen your LPI course there - would this course cover the same competencies? I enjoy your content, so will use this if it's going to cover the same areas.

Here's a question: Does the time command come with ALL Linux systems?...is it included with Arch?.....OpenSuSE?.....FreeBSD?....etc?

Thanks for the video. And, thanks for the heads-up on using the full path for the time command with options. I tried time with -f (format) without the full path and it failed. You video cleared that up for me. Keep up the great work!

@@calvincooper1436 both helped me out, it's mostly multiple choice too so I was able to narrow down on some of the questions the proper answer. One area I wish I did study more though was networks
