Linux Sub-System in Windows 10?

In this video I talk about the possible discovery of a Linux Sub-System found in a beta version of Windows 10. The files found are from a project in Windows 10 Mobile to allow Android apps to run on Windows 10 Phones. These files are now found in the desktop version of Windows 10 and it leaves many new questions about what Microsoft is doing. I hope you enjoy this video!

This actually makes sense since Windows 10 will be able to run quickly not only in VMWare but KVM a Linux VM tool also they will likely merge the code in the desktop with mobile even harder. Now understand the libraries do not in them selfs allow Linux programs to run under Windows 10.. They would need much more than that. Its really only for VM's and Andriod compatibility.

if you want more viewers... i think you should talk more about the latest tech news... you know what Apple is currently doing... and what Microsoft is doing.. as of the moment...and then show your (our) Linux-Freedom-Opensource Perspective on the latest happenings in the tech world... and not just the latest happenings in the Linux based world... just my Honest Opinion... keep doing what you love :)

Someone from Microsoft said that Windows has always had UNIX subsystems and the "universalification" of Windows to run on everything made those files show up. At least that's what I heard.

it's an Android sub-system not Linux I doubt Microsoft thinks Linux is a desktop competitor

xpcoin Microsoft is allowing Linux distros to run on Azure.

Linux is not really a competitor but Linux is a really good argument for developers who love using bach and all unix free softwares, I think Microsoft make this move to keep developers who are going on Mac. And this is really a sub system.
