Some people have noticed that I chose to awk out a temperature that might be computer specific (i.e. in the ThinkPad section). You might want to awk out a temp in the coretemp section or whichever section your computer has. That might be more universal. You may also need to run `sudo sensors-detect` first.

"TEMP" is the most important thing in a computer not just for CPU but for the hard drive. and now for the SSD which a whole videos can be made for them i spent like 6 months researching and buying them! your very educated i could not follow a lot of what you said because im limited in education regarding this just started Linux 2 years ago learning bash. i dislike your picture on the screen its distracting you move around to much and im concentrating on what your typing and it a distraction and you have a picture which is the background a flat blank screen would be better also i can clearly hear your typing! you need more professional equipment. RESPECTFULLY! your are one of the best i have seen on utube and you have creativity! really good choice! you should wonder into SSD with your temperatures program!

@dhiegov
@dhiegov 5 жыл бұрын
Well, not simple, but you could 1. grep the lines that have "chromium" 2. put them into a for loop that sums up the percentages (by awk'ing the second element, stripping the percent ("%") and summing the value to an accumulator) 3. concatenate this sum in what would be the process line again (like `cat "chromium" $sum`) 4. concatenate that resulting string back to the list of 9 more demanding processes and 5. sort it again Note that 1. because you are sorting again and the number of spaces that the concatenation in step 3 might be misaligned with the list that the ps gives you, you might as well get the ps list raw (without the ":15" attached to "cmd") and format it yourself with printf. 2. you would want to just do all this processing if any chromium process is one of your top 10 demanding, else just do like Luke does

Not sure what is yor running OS. Like the transparency of the terminals. Just getting used to i3M post a video of create your own Debian super easy kzbin.info/www/bejne/boPTpGOce9mqn80 I like to add the bar to this creation and and a way to randomly change the desktop wallpaper based on some theme selection, sports,super cars, lamdscapes,etc. But very lightweight. Perhaps adding as a module could work. Thank you for sharing keep doing the great work.

You need to build vim with clipboard support. Run vim --version to check if it is installed(i.e +clipboard). If not, install gvim or neovim.
