@Miyo Linux. There something to be said for a laughing system, it reminds us to not take ourselves too seriously, and that scripting is fun if we let it be fun.

My most used dmenu script is the one used for connecting to different VPNs. I use also Luke's mount and umount a lot. Interesting one I use is a polkit agent (dmenu is only one part of it). I used regularly several more but I rewrote them in fzf for sharing them with people on windows or mac

Damn glad to see ya Mike! How is dad doing besides writing scripts? Well that is something I must say. Dmenu is a good tool and can almost do anything. I be leave you may have found a new one or two... Lol I started a new channel in remembrance of Buster my dog who I lost in December 2021 as you can see by the pic. I have even made a video or two... LOL There ok and I have learned a lot making them. Mostly I'm not real good at it but who is.. LOL I like scripting it's fun and you learn a bunch. Sed and Awk is still that magic thing that is just in sight and yet not... lol I dabble in them both a bit, it takes me years to get through one line... HAHAHAHA Good to see ya back LD!!! I'm sure DT will not mind the snipping of code here and there... I do the same thing and I AM Totally DANGEROUS! LLAP 🖖

@@linuxdabbler Yep! Buster was my best ever red dog! He went everywhere with me for 17 years. Well the last year not so much but I miss him something awful still... My other dog Tip has never been alone and was raised by Buster. He has taken it as hard as I have. It has been 188 days and Tip is just now starting to be himself again but different too! We both still talk about Buster as if he is still here with us. I have his ash's on my headboard of my bed as that is where he slept. He is my red sole-mate and I can't wait to see him again... 😄🐕🐶 LLAP

One very useful dmenu script that I use is one that allow me to select and input password (got the idea from DT). It uses dmenu and xdotool and you need to have your passwords setup in separate gpg encrypted files in a subdirectory. It works with every browser or any program that request a password.

i like your scripts for future scripts instead of grep "whatever" | awk '{ print $2}' you can do awk '/whatever/{ print $2}' have fun :)

I did use awk'/subvol/ {print $4}' in another script. Using grep and piping into awk is an old habit and I guess old habits die hard. Lol
