First I would like to thank you for doing a video about Kayla and establishing the gofundme account. I enjoy your videos and tutorials. I especially enjoyed the headband tutorial video. Kayla and you are an inspiration to me. Hearing about Kayla's and your health struggles help me to deal with my health issues. Can you make face cloths with the cotton cakes yarn or a throw blanket? I love the Summer Nights yarn. I bought mine at Walmart. I do have trouble finding patterns I like for the yarn. You are right, it is very much like thread weight. Which made me think of pulling out my thread crochet patterns and make a beautiful shawl out of doily motifs 😊. Thank you for sharing Lion Brand yarns, I have always liked many of their yarns💕! The mini skeins are great for amigurumi. I don't have enough space to get a full skein of all the different colors I use, so the minis are wonderful! I do agree that denim pack is over priced. Can't wait for the reviews.

It sounds like nice yarn (Lion Brand Soft and Simple) But on my budget, $4.99 is a bit high for 131yds. I hope to try it in the future, but not at this time because I need to use the yarn I already have. Lion Brand Pound of Love!) I love Pound of Love! So many colors and so much yardage! Win win!! I have used the Jean yard several times. I semi like it. It is great for afghans. It is semi stiff so I wouldn't use it for tops or baby items.

The LB Special Edition yarn I received is not the softest but passable and I'd recommend its use for handbags/totes and especially when combined with other yarns. I often combine the Comfy Cotton with another solid color yarn to make shoulder bags and wearables. Love the effect. Mini packs would be good for amigurami.

The packs are actually good for people who make Amigurumi too , sometimes we need just a couple yards of a certain color or many colors but do not need full balls 😊The jeans yarns would be cute to make jeans accessories to Amigurumi dolls 😃

That cotton yarn i also bought at Christmas tree store when you mad that video. I kive lion brand yarn. I lived 20 minutes away from there outlet until they moved. I niss tfat store.

I love Lion Brand yarns but had the worst luck with jeans yarn. I bought a kit to make a top. The yarn is soft and the first two skeins were fine. The 3rd had 8!!! knots in it. Because I had to cut so much yarn I was just short to finish the top. I ordered another skein hoping it would match. That skein had no knots but unraveled and would not stay twisted. I fought with it the whole time. I contacted lion brand about the knotty skein and they were kind enough give me a credit for the full price of one skein. I think because of my experience I wouldn’t order this particular yarn again BUT will continue buying from Lion Brand.

I don't use Lion Brand anymore. Ever. There was a "sale" a while back and they had everyone thinking that they were going to get three shades of a color. I can't remember all the details. Limited edition was one of them. I actually got one of the three shades and it was funky yarn. It was taking forever to get to me and when I called could never get ahold of anyone. No tracking number either. It was a nightmare. Nope, ain't doing that again. Lion Brand used to be a great company but boy have they changed! I love Premier yarns, and Herschners.

Please, when you do your review of these yarns could you show a swatch that was thrown in the washer? Eventually everything ends up in the washer, even if it’s not supposed to. I’m always interested to know how much the yarn shrunk and if it pilled. I’ll pass on a yarn the shrinks or pills significantly. Thank you so much!

Compfu cotton blend is my favorite yarn never had the splitting issue. The jeans yarn was the worst yarn yet to me badly made . I agree prices way too high but for a channel makes sense. Love you and family.

Personally I think Lionbrand should toss a few bon-bons in order 📦. Use them like perfume samples. They might boost sales, plus who doesn’t love a little lagniappe (freebie) 🤷🏽‍♀️. I keep buying Summer Nights and have yet to use it 🫤, it’s so pretty but dang it’s thin. I love the Comfy Cotton!

Ooh I’m glad to see the Summer Nights up close. It’s been in clearance for awhile and you know I love the sparkle yarns as much as you do so I’ve been debating it. But WOW that really is a thin 1. I’m just finishing up the 1 weight tee I feel like I’ve been working on for ages now. 😂 Have you used any yet? Do you know what size hook you’d use with it? I’ve been using a 3.5 with my shirt but my yarn is definitely a thicker 1 than that and despite gauge swatching I ended up with a smaller shirt than intended and was adding in stitches and stretching the darn thing. Meanwhile I have had the opposite issue with actual crochet thread where the recommended hook size for both the thread and a pattern I was trying to follow was clearly too small so I can never seem to figure out what size to use with the tiny stuff. And I’m assuming Summer Nights isn’t the kind of sparkle that will cut up your hands? That was my other concern because I’ve seen some awful, awful sparkle thread. Can you tell I’m clearly waiting for a more in depth review? Lol. No pressure. At the clearance price I’ll probably pick some up eventually. I was originally leaning towards the pink but the shirt I’m working on is hot pink so maybe I’ll get the blue too. Though I confess I have a bunch of different 1 weight blue in my stash already… but shhhh no one needs to know that and none of it sparkles! 😂

Jennifer, I have a question. I have started to separate my yarn according to the type. How can I tell which balls are, wool, acrylic, cotton, wool, etc? I do know that certain wools break when pulled. And the cotton is tough and don’t break when pulled to break. Hope my gibberish makes sense. Thanks, Ramona
