It's like this, because house cats don't live in prides like lions, they haven't developed social skills like them. House cats only play in childhood with their siblings and mother, it's how they learn to hunt. In adulthood they don't play with one another anymore. What many people call playing at home, it's cats letting out their frustration or boredom of lack of mock hunting, poor environment in the house. Also many people teach kittens to play with their hands instead of a toy. It's all great fun, when their claws and teeth are small, but when they grow up, it starts to hurt and it's hard to make them unlearn it.

As a cat owner I know how easy it is for cats to accidentally use their claws when they don't mean to. My cat has scratched me accidentally on multiple occasions, so it is very impressive that the lions are constantly thinking about not hurting Dean on accident cause they know what kind of damage their claws do.

I think the lions treat him well because they're captive, and loyal due to being raised by him. Not sure this bond would survive if they were free to do what they wanted in the wild. Диких кошек, в частности пантер, можно приручить, если вы их спасли. Они это прекрасно понимают и помнят всю жизнь, что бы там не говорили. Это неоднократно проверено. У нас в России девушка-ветеринар спасла котенка леопарда, от которого отказалась мать.. Сейчас это полностью ручная(для хозяйки)красавица черная пантера по имени Луна. He takes care of them, and he understands lions are not house cats. Lions and other animals are alot more intelligent then people give animals credit. Its like the "give a dog an egg." Thing people did. The lion could hurt him, but he doesn't *want to* and they know damn well the strength they have over him. @@abigalegray910 yep. Lion knew exactly what was going to happen before he went for it . Tripping him, surrounding him with retracted claws and closed mouth, and then letting him get away and releasing lol. All part of what lions do when it’s a human (weaker) member of the pride. Awesome.

THE lion whisperer Kevin richardson might have a closer bond with his pride. LIke 12 years ago he put up a vid of a lioness and she JUST had her cubs. Lionesses will try to kill any pride member who tries to see the cubs when they are newborns they wait like a month or more to show them off. He walked in to her den and started picking them up and she didn't care. Now that was amazing.
