"outsiders" spend vast amounts money to go over to Africa to hunt big game. So the owners of the land they're hunting on will go out of his way to breed and protect lions on his property so that the "outsiders" can come and hunt them. Everyone here has an opinion about the Maasai's actions. It's their cow, their lion, their land, their sunshine, even the fuckin' gravity there is theirs and they should do with it as they damn well please. Most loudmouth's on here live in countries that have exterminated entire species they consider to be pests with no Maasai telling you what to do, so observe quietly and STFU!. They're not obliged to furnish you with a reason for killing their lion if they decide to.

I seen vid of the Massai, just 3 men, walk into a pride of lions that just made a kill, as they were feeding, scare them off, just by walking.. cut the dang leg off the kill the Lions just made. And walk away with the whole leg.. the Lions didn't do crap!! I never seen confidence like that in my life. I have so much respect for this tribe. I hope their culture and tradition remains. Am sure most of you don’t understand swahili. Theres some conversations below the crazy music. Of what looks like tourist drivers and the wildlife officials. The wildlife office asks if the rangers are already there? The driver says yes, but goes ahead and says that the masaai are already there too. The rangers track in the video is seen to be moving away from the scene. The wildlife office is heard saying Thats unfortunate the masaai won’t understand anything now, they will track and kill it(the lion) I doubt the lion made it to the next week.

Killing a lion with only a spear was a mandatory rite of passage for young Masai men looking to join the ranks of the Masai Moran (warriors) for hundreds of years. Fortunately, since sometime in the early 2010s, the Masai have found other rituals to substitute, but it’s not surprising that lions still remember to turn tail and run like hell when they see a couple dozen Masai warriors running toward them.
