I am a new crocheter, I am really enjoying it. I have only tried a few different types of yarn, but thanks to Yarn University I am so excited to try some of the soft ones mentioned in the video❤️

I was kind of hoping for a side=by=side comparison of cashmere, angora, merino and a few other fibers.

Hedgehog fibers Cashmerino is one of the softest. It doesn’t seem like it in the hank, or even after it’s wound into a cake. But when you knit with it and start building some fabric, it just blooms and becomes so soft and silky and delicious🥰

The yarn bought at shops don’t have microns on the labels, so how will we, the knitters, find that out?

To me cashmere and wool are not soft at all they feel itchy and coarse. I can only wear them if I have a barrier between them and my skin. So, silk and bamboo are the softest I’ve come across for my skin.

I’ve worked with lots of soft ones - probably the softest was a 100% polyester! Also silk, Pantone Bamboo which is a blend with nylon.
