Good review Joker, I always find your rambling strangely entertaining. I hope you get the Nickel Plate Road PA with the passenger cars. Street price will be $200 per passenger car, which is a good price for extruded 21" cars in 2024 hyper-inflated Biden Bucks. Sadly I don't think they fixed the goofy marker lights on the Y6b. I love my Big Boy and Class A even with the lasers 😆

Prices are astronomical and absolutely absurd. All of these electronics make toy trains ridiculously expensive as well as unreliable in the long run and expensive to repair when not if they fail.

I agree with some of that. I don’t agree on the unreliable part of this. And if you do your repairs yourself it’s really not that bad. Everything that you do has a hobby has a cost. The fact is Lionel isn’t going back to the 40s and 50s. This is the new age of trains.

@@Jokers_Trains all of the electronics are notoriously unreliable. Regardless of brand. I'm not asking for the toy like trains at Lionel made during the 1950s and 60s. I own a lot of Williams locomotives and a lot of Weaver rolling stock and they're good enough for me. They are asking locomotive prices for rolling stock and Ludacris prices for locomotive especially for stuff that they make in China or Vietnam. You have to have a degree in electronics to work on these trains and God help you if you make one mistake it will cost you $400 to replace whatever went up and smoke. Williams locomotives all you have to do is Greece them every 25 hours and they're good to go. Electronics go bad in use for the delaminate in storage so you're damned if you do and you're damned if you don't. I watched too many videos that go on about the unreliability of people's expensive line of locomotive that have been raped while the paint is still wet. I said wrapped why are the paint is still wet to where it sticks to it

That Western Pacific SW1 looks phenominal! Its also the first generation diesel switcher paint scheme which has never been done in O scale!

Another fantastically crusty video Zac! Definitely getting the S&A unit and am considering getting a GG1 as my first Top Shelf engine. I thought it would be the Hudson too, but I knew the GG1 was right there in the running with it too. Maybe we will see a back to back offering next year instead of the seemingly normal new tooling then rerun.

I like that Ferromex, and it should have spanish crew talk and probably won't. The Seaboard Mountain looks good, but I would have to see the colors before I buy it. I want the CPKC ES44 #9375, and almost lost it when I saw they made it a Lionchief, first scale version gets my money.

I am so glad I bought so many Williams locomotive. I can't believe the prices that Lionel is asking for things and they don't offer anything in conventional only you have to buy them with all the bells and whistles and they can keep those.
