Awesome review - Beautiful locomotive! Love that you played all 5 whistles, and quilled them so we know what they sound like! What a great whistle selection. Also - love that you demonstrated how the pop off smoke works. I just ordered based on your review. Can't wait to put it on my layout:).

Well , they Didn't have a Whistle , 2 way Radio, and the light in front is wrong , but not bad looking

Who cares, it's just an option, you don't have to hit the whistle button or crew talk if you don't want to, just play the horn and skip the crew talk if it bothers you. It's a gorgeous locomotive, and actually a good value compared to Lionels other Legacy products. You're correct, they should have got the head light and Mars light configuration correct, but I don't think 99% will care, and does it really make a difference unless you have nothing to worry about besides a model train being a perfect prototype;) Big picture, they did a pretty amazing job with this locomotive.

It originally had an air horn and yes The number 4 was actually equipped with a Mars light Later in the locomotives career
