Well, because it was his best team and even at 35 he is the Goat. In 2006 he was benched too much considering he was already a star in Barcelona, and in 2010 the team had no coach and a meme tactic inspired by Maradona's ego " winning alone a world cup" and the 2018 team was just abysmal. So he had only 2 decent teams or managed teams and he reached 2 finals. With this boys and coach in 2010, in his prime, he would have made every record fall back then. Argentina sabotaged Messi and only this coach and this kids who were fsns of him gave him the respect he deserves.

I watched the Mexico 86' world cup and am a fan of Argentina. I feel no need to compare him to Maradona. Both of them are spectacular players that I enjoy watching playing and both deserve the best praise for their amazing achievements and the entertainment value they gave to us. The 2022 finals, however, was a game on its own, nothing like that, not in any game I can recall. This match was truly something else.
