Chile was such a great match for Argentina, and Higuain could have won it, but it was not meant to be. Messi put on a great show and he did everything but play goalie. Messi was fantastic yet again this tourney. Even his final performance was very good too and he was probably the best outfield player on the pitch. But it ended in heartbreak again and then he retired. People unfortunately will only remember that messi never won anything with Argentina rather than remembering that he played in 7 tournaments and never actually performed badly in any of them. In four of them he took his team to the final. He's done so much for Argentina but never been rewarded for it. In fact, he's been criticised by the media and Argentinas fickle fans. The ultimate irony is that now he's retired they miss him and want him back. If he were any other player I'd want him not to return just to spite their ungrateful fans but he's lionel messi, my favourite player ever and I need him to return. He's just turned 29 years old and has so much more to offer even if they don't deserve him.

There are 3 reasons why Argentina lost Copa America 1st) Tata didnt select Dybala and didnt play Pastore who can drop down in the midfiled and and collect the ball and play as an Attacking Midfield which they needed against Chile. 2nd) Tata should have made Aguero take 1st penalty and let Messi go 3rd or 4th. 3rd) Honestly he should have let Higuain play the full match. I know I know he missed the chance to win it all but he doesnt shoot selfishly like Aguero who wasted 3 good chances. Messi played really well he just didn't get enough support. I hate that the Argentine Wingers dont run on the flanks so as to let messi spray diagonal balls to create more direct chances from the wings.
