Messi should have more than 1 Puskas Nomination from 18/19 season. This chip against Betis. Free kick against Liverpool. Goal against PSV when he dribbled and squeezed past PSV defenders in an extremely tight space inside of the box and managed to generate incredible power in his shot sending a rocket in top corner without unloading/ having no space to generate the power on the shot that he somehow did anyways. Majestic. Paneka Free Kick against Espanyol I believe it was. Generally I wouldn’t advocate a Free Kick for a Puskas Award but this was no regular Free Kick. It was geeeeeeenius. PANEKA. I’ve never seen it before. I’ve seen Paneka penalties, but not Paneka FK’s. Incredible. The technique he demonstrated with that strike was stunning to see. Such a soft delicate contact with the ball, but with JUST ENOUGH momentum and pace on the ball for the keeper to be unable to get to it. SIMPLY UNREAL. Actually, he had so many majestic free kicks that took such individual sheer brilliance and technique to pull off that I’d nominate all of them. Two Free Kicks in the same match against Diego Lopez. Both of them were JAW DROPPING STRIKES. Volley against Sevilla. Goal against Lyon beating two defenders simultaneously with one move. The goal against Manchester United in the quarter finals after Nut-Megging A United player and scoring from outside of the box with a curler. And I believe there are even more incredible solo goals worthy of mentions from his 18/19 season. Unprecedented. At this point Messi is literally competing with himself. Playing to break his own records. Playing to score more beautiful goals than his own beautiful that he already scored. He has no competition. No one to catch. No one to beat. No one to get past. He is on top, alone. Looking down at Pele’s, Maradona’s etc. Messi’s 2018/9 Season highlights reel TRUMPS Cristiano Ronaldo’s entire career highlights reel. Simply unreal. Messi Class, that’s above World Class. Remember that.

This is just chip goal with hitting a crossbar. Zlatans goal was from a center with a VERY rare type of kick with turn, and hitting a post. Nobody did it ever before because even the kick is almost impossible

Este es el mejor del año lejos aunque el de Juanfer Quintero fue un golazo,el de Messi tiene más mérito por la difultad de hacer un gol de este tipo. El que alguna vez jugó al fútbol ya sea de forma amateur o profesional sabe de lo que hablo. Goles como el de el de Quinteros se ven cada cuanto, pero el de Messi es pura técnica y precisión y lo que sorprende es que desde esa distancia pueda tener esa precisión y picarla tan justa entre el arquero y el travesaño.
