Cremaschi waved & expected the pass to where he was which was 17 meters out, just inside the box. @ 5:58 he was still there, @ 6:12 while Messi's left foot was already serving the ball, Cremaschi was leaning TOWARDS Messi, not to the base line. Cremaschi reacted to where he saw the ball was moving LEFT towards the baseline. Watch a bunch of other videos and there a good 1-2 seconds delay in the audience AND the commentators reaction in realizing where the ball was actually heading. No one was seeing that pass going where it did, including Cremaschi.

Cresmaschi wasn't just 'standing there'... He was actively calling for the ball and ran to get it. You can dribble and shoot on your own, but a pass requires good teammates who can 'feel' the game and/or react quickly. Anyone who has practiced football/soccer at a decent level knows this. Cresmaschi is a really interesting player, especially at such a young age.
