messi is a phenomenon no question, but how can we fully justify, as of now, his status as the greatest ever when he is yet to prove himself in the world cup, the ultimate footballing stage. Pele almost single handly one the world cup when he was 18, something messi never came close too, Pele won 3 world cups. Maradona too, won by himself 2 world cups for Argentina. Messi still needs to prove himself by winning at least 1 world cup to justify the 'greatest ever' tag.
