Nayyar Iqbal Yeah, but what the numbers don't say are the things we see in this video. Messi misses his free kicks, but a lot of them are on target or against the bar/post (counted as off target). Ofcourse he also has balls that go over or in the wall, but compare this to Ronaldo, a lot of Ronaldo free kicks end up in the wall or in the stands. Messi's misses are closer to a goal than Ronaldo's misses. That makes him a better free kick taker, not only if we look at goals. His accuracy is unmatched, ofcourse it might also have to do with Ronaldo using the "knuckle" technique which can let the ball fly anywhere, but Messi is always close to the target.

Richievdheij Can't you see? Ronaldo played less longer than Messi in La Liga yet he already has more attempts. It shows you how pathetic Ronaldo is sometimes when he wants to take every shot wheter it's from the box or from midfield. Same for his shooting, people keep on saying he scores more from outside the box despite Messi has been scoring more goals outside of the box than Ronaldo for 3/4 years already. People will say well it's harder to score from 40 yards that's why Messi has more, but then think of this, if it's harder to score from 30-40 yards, why the hell does Ronaldo keep on trying that then? Also don't forget Messi played in La Liga when he was 17. He was still a young boy needing to develop. Ronaldo came to Madrid when he was 24. So ofcourse it's impossible to compare (yet still since Ronaldo arrived at Madrid, Messi has better numbers).
