Greatest Goal scoring season ever. Arguably better than 2011-12. He scored 21 more than expected goals.(11-12 was +11, Still one of most efficient goal scoring season ever) His conversion rate from 15 yards was 30%... This season was truly one out of million.

Arguably the best goal scoring season in a European domestic league ever. 46 goals in 32 games and the last few months playing through injuries. He only lacked some goals in the UCL and that again was due to his injury in April against PSG.

@nikosofidemporas Barca was so stupid getting him to play against bilbao even before he fully recovered. Messi scored an impossible goal against milan in Ucl. Things could have been different.

12/13 is WAY better in terms of goalscoring than 11/12 and BY FAR the best goalscoring season in the modern era. In 11/12 he scored a non penalty goal every 88mins and in 12/13 every 74mins(73 before his first injury vs Psg)! I don't think people realize how crazy these numbers are. For a comparison: Ronaldos best was a non penalty goal every 97mins... His hamstring injuries in 2013 cost him his pace and explosivness. He was still amazing after that(and the best itw for most of the time), but he became more of a playmaker. I am sure he would broke his records for the most goals and g/a in one year/season after that. It's sad that he had these injuries and it's very sad what happened to Vilanova. 11/12-12/13 was his peak imo and I think he would be even better without these injuries

@Tito-et4pc Agreed. However, 11-12 was the season he focused more on scoring, with higher xG and more mobility, while 12-13 was shooting, with lower xG and sometimes be criticized as less mobile than he was 08~11.

12/13 without a doubt his best goalscoring season there was only 5 LA Liga games he didn't score in out of the 32 games he played which is insane
