We actually have one here in Texas where I live the grapevine vintage railroad has Santa Fe 2199 which was built in 1953 it is one of the last of its kind to be in existence and an operation it doesn't have the Bluebonnet paint scheme anymore but it's pretty cool to see it in operation now if only they could get their steam locomotive to go with that engine back up and running then that would be quite something

Those legacy remotes look easy to use but knowing me I'll probably stuff up somewhere but with the Digitrack remotes they are more of a set and forget the only down side to the big digitrack remote is that you can only have one train running on the layout but with the Legacy control system you can have up to 3 locos if you want to

you can have a lot more than 3 running at the same time. I've done 12 at the same time before, but I think the actual limit is 98.

Interesting that the paint scheme is your favorite feature when they got the colors wrong for the walkways and battery box tops - they should be blue to match the body, not black.

Voice control is already available on any Lionel locomotive equipped with Bluetooth. It’s not a new feature for the models, it’s a new feature for the smartphone app.
