This is history that is not taught in school. The connection between the civil war remains and the natives, the renegade lawbreakers and law men, the expansion to the west. So interesting. Thanks!

I am a descendant of Sarah Ann Farrington. Sarah Ann Farrington had a son with Jesse James. Jesse James was J Frank Dalton.

Sarah Ann Farrington was the daughter of Susan King. The first official child of Calamity Jane was born while she lived with Frank King. Wild Bill went into the Confederate Saloon #10 and Jesse killed him. Everyone in the bar poured whiskey on him because he was a Yankee spy during the war and then they sat him at the table. Jesse gave young Jack McCall the gun. Jack went running around saying he killed Wild Bill and was arrested. Jesse got Jack set free with the defense that Jack killed Wild Bill Hickok because Wild Bill Hickok killed his brother, even though he didn't. Then Jack ended up in Wyoming where his mouth got him in trouble again. McCall bragged so often about killing Wild Bill that finally a US Marshall arrested him. Since his trial was not held in a legal territory (Deadwood was still a gold camp in Indian territory,) the trial was deemed illegal. McCall was sent to Yankton, the capital of Dakota Territory, where he was retried, found guilty and hanged in the spring of 1877.

I have a picture of my great great grandfather Jesse James on a mule. It's my profile picture. Uncle Dave Macon, the first star of the Grand Ole Opry put out an album called Jesse James: The Man Who Rode The Mule Around The World. The office of J Frank Dalton, the real Jesse James, was in the original Grand Ole Opry building. A Fist Full of dollars is about the man with no name, Jesse James. Don't laugh at his mule. His mule don't like to be laughed at. That caused the death of 4 men. I do have the DNA of Jesse James . Zerelda supposedly had a daughter named Fannie Quantrill Samuel. Her descendants do have the DNA. I could show you how, but because of the word I have to use I can't say it on here.
