I personally think that battle with the Cherokees would have gone much better had you held your position. The only thing you need to do in battles with the natives is hold a solid line as they charge into your muskets.

I think you really have a problem with pushing to far, to fast, result in a broken line and then the gaps are exploited holding the line and the flanks is paramount. Love the series though!

That battle against the Cherokee, with your consistent use of long extended fronts didn't use the artillery to its advantage nor horse units to cover. The primary rule is never to separate your commands and having the horses off alone on the left flank was costly sacrifice.

the natives can be very easy to beat if you don't play to their advantage. By advancing on them in that battle you played right into their game by closing range and negating your cannon at the start, their hidden men cought you forming up and sqarmed you accordingly. when they're atacking let THEM come to YOU over that bad ground by deploying a defensive line in the middle or back of your deployment zone. the natives break easy with a few good volleys and canister just DON'T go toward's them.

Still loving the cut of your jib, young man! I think I saw here a comment this morning about your flanks being exposed. To add to that, my thoughts and hope this helps. One is timing. You knew the natives would charge strongly for a melee. Why not go a bit Agincourt and hold back? You didn't form up in time, got mobbed, whilst having to manage that you had no time to deploy artillery. I think I would have held back, giving more time to form up and mop up. Brilliant you got through though!

I go for thin lines because of fire by rank which is far more effective than my infant rise melee ability. It is a tactic I'm willing to risk and continue to use.

lionheart you need more skirms and cav when fighting the native americans and for godsake man use the terrain when fighting, and when out numberd do not stretch your force so long that you end up rushing some of your forces across the field you tire your men. and in most cases when your being overwhelmed on one side a smaller formation would be better to handle the AI mass attack not a thin line also when your in melee against the enemy support the fellow infantry by charging another one in.

How is that bull shot? The full version costs money without that money you wouldn't get them making great recording program's. 10 min recordings for the free version is more than fair for the product. FRAPs is similar. The payment is a one off few with all future updates for bandicam free of charge. If your serious about recording gameplay it's a very good and affordable investment!

Also would an "Alexander" tactic work here? Numerically superior opposing force. Keep basic units in the centre just long enough to hold on. Strong melee units, inc the general on the right flank to roll up and along their left flank until they're all running away? P.S. Too much BSG I feel. Ceylon (now Sri Lanka) is "sey-lon" not "cylon" ;-)

I disagree,I have peace in Europe there is no need to make war attacking trade routes there, my navy is small at the moment due to the fact that I am fighting a war on 2 frontiers, India and America that's requires far more infantry than navy, when the time comes I shall deploy my navy but for now it is being used in the best way I see fit for it. It shall hold against France should they attack. I am winning a war on 2 fronts if that's bad campaign map skills then so be it.

Select as many units u want,then you will see a button logo there looks like a flag(its next to the melee button).sorry I cant explained much.I played this game as a long time.Check the video.U see a button next to melee button there.That your unit grouping.
