Pornography has been an issue for me. One day I got an epiphany on it though. The verse that says resist the devil and he shall flee from you and the other that says that we do not wrestle with flesh and blood but rather principalities. Everytime I get the urge, I'll remember that it's not my authentic urge but rather a spirit behind the urge so I'll intentionally worship and get loud with it. I'll put on my worship playlist then just worship instead. I figure that I'm gonna use the urge as my worship trigger. I bet the devil will eventually get irritated when he realizes that instead of porn, he's triggering me to worship and I'll get rid of him on this issue once and for all. Edit: This strategy has really been working for me and now, even the urge is diminishing. That's what I envisioned and I give all glory to God. God's richest blessings on all of the amazing people in this thread. I'm really hopeful that all of us are going to break the shackles that the enemy plots to keep us bound by. In Jesus mighty name, you are all free. I'm praying for it and believing for it and as of now, I'm gonna make it my business to pray for the people under this thread. I was addicted for a long time since I was a child and now 33. Thought it would go away when I was married but it didn’t. I prayed and tried to resist but the temptation was too strong! I finally decided to admit and tell my husband about it, install porn blockers, and seek God’s and his word daily and it has got a lot easier!! To the point I don’t even think about it as much anymore. God is so good!!

This was and even can be, to this day, an issue in my life. I was exposed to porn as a very young child. My stepfather had porn magazines all over my home. From the time I was in kindergarten, I knew where his hidden stashes were. Some were even in garbage bags, in plain sight, in our basement. I was looking at those on a daily basis. But, even as a young child, I realized it was wrong. I would go to great lengths to hide it. I discovered, even as a Christian, it STILL has a strong pull on my mind. I am in my mid 60's now and still have to guard my heart from this pull. The Lord has given me victory over this, but the battle was long and hard. Please brothers and sisters, I beg of you.....do not give place to this, in your life, your thoughts or your heart, for even 1 sec. It will entice, ensnare, and ultimately destroy us. Praising, Worshipping God, and resisting with all that is in us, is the only way to tear down this stronghold....

When you desire sex it's a pretty good indicator that you're ACTUALLY desiring connection. After giving up ALL drugs (caffeine, THC, alcohol, nicotine, extra sugar, and masturbation. ALL AT ONCE, btw) I had to learn to identify what I actually needed to feel or aknowledge when I would get a craving. What I've learned is that drugs of whatever sort are like a snooze button. Instead of actually seeing what's really in front of you, you hit snooze and it stays hidden. Now I can recognize what it's really about and I talk with His Majesty about it. I have struggled with Pornography since I was in 6th grade discovering the Internet and I am now 21 years old.. Let that sink in. I have recently came across a turning point in my life in a Bible Study about Repentance I told my friends about the addiction and how it feels like I’m in chains and a slave and it’s an endless cycle I can’t escape and I balled my tears out. I would watch porn and immediately after feel shame and try to hide from God mentally and felt like I couldn’t come to him because I kept making the same mistake again over again. I believe the Holy Spirit was moving in that Bible Study and the funny part is our college is religious and we had a week called “Revival” for the school where they had services. I believe this was the Holy Spirit saving me and finally making me realize what I was doing to my soul and how I literally have a girlfriend where we are a year together and I can’t keep doing this to her. I saw it as If I continue I will lose her and eventually myself. I am happy to announce I am officially starting my journey to breaking this cycle and renewing my relationship with Jesus so he can break my chains and set me free cause the truth is nobody can help me break this except for God ❤️ I can do this!

I'm not speaking for Ruth, but she said she had a nasty spirit of lust and perversion. It could be possible that she was sheltering a spirit of Jezebel within her. Demons are very real and it is possible they can inhabit us when we are at are weakest and most vulnerable, but they need a cooperative host. When you give in to lust and anger and jealousy you are cooperating with that evil spirit and giving it power over you. God gave us the power and authority over demons in the name of Jesus Christ, to cast out demons. To evict these demons requires intense, strong prayer, in the commanding authority given to us by God in the name of Jesus Christ. These demons are stubborn and they do not want to leave without a fight, it can take a very long time and many believers praying together to free someone from the grip of a demon. The demon does not want to leave, if it could it would drag you to hell, but it doesn't have that power if you tell it NO! You have to take authority given to you by God in the name of Jesus Christ, to command that spirit to leave, you have to be strong and persistent and not give up but in the name of Jesus that spirit will be commanded to leave. It is a fight, physically and spiritually, people have bled from their mouths, throats, and nose because a demon's grip is so strong, but God's power and authority is stronger, they are no match for God's power. They hate the name of Jesus Christ, demons shudder at his name. Continue praying to God for strength, take the authority that God gave you in the name of Jesus Christ, to say no to your sins, because when you say no, you take their power away, and the stronger and closer to God you will be. My last piece of advice is to read the Bible, study it, knowledge is power, God is your strength, arm yourself with God's word and put on the armor of God, attend a ministry based on the Bible and the word of God.

I literally was able to overcome the addiction of watching Pornography and doing things that are not of my age byjust listening to the Holy Spirit's command. I was reading my Bible yesterday, a heavenly thought came up onto and whispered "You should not have Sex if you're not married." I literally had to do more research as to which Bible verses speak about these. I googled about this, found blogs that say it is permitted to have sex before marriage and it is not a sin. I decided to ignore that blog, moved to the other one and I found solid facts on what I was searching. My eyes were opened and I was able to tell myself that I'm no longer gonna walk on that path ever again!

Porn is a waste of time. Ever since I stopped watching it a while back I’ve been able to do more productive stuff such as learning how to work on cars, spend more time in my garden, play catch with my dog more often and up my culinary skills a bit. I used to watch pronography and would begin to feel conviction come over me saying I could be looking at someone's child that probably came out of the church. And it got to were when i closed my eyes I could see those images. And I could hear the voices pulling on me to go back and watch the pornography. I have not watched it in awhile now, but I know now that it is a very dangerous thing to start watching pornography no matter what is going on in your marriage, or in your life period. This was like hearing my autobiography! I started allowing lust into my life as a teenager, around the same time I had surrendered my life to Christ. For years I kept it quiet and was ashamed to bring it to the light and get help. God allowed me to come to a very dark place, which ultimately landed me flat on my face, in a deep pit of despair. Through a series of (un)fortunate events, He brought me out of the pit and showed me an opportunity to get the help I had been needing for several years. Even still, I was holding onto a piece of my desire for sexual sin. Sadly, I brought it into my marriage, before my wife and I were even married. As I continued to revisit my old, secret habits, the enemy brought a Jezabel into my life and I soon defiled my marriage. For a while, we tried to reconcile and work it out, but I kept holding onto pieces of sexual sin, and my wife ultimately divorced me. Once again, I found myself falling down this pit, BUT GOD! He brought great conviction to my spirit and three and a half years later, our marriage was restored! It’s been a year and a half and while we are still working to overcome the damage of my past sin, God has been transforming both of us into the likeness of Jesus. We have a long way to go, BUT GOD!

The thing about seeing the images when trying to pray is so spot on. Completely subconsciously. It would absolutely rip my heart out and I'd eventually quit trying to even have a relationship with God altogether. I have been porn free for maybe two weeks now and, let me say, it DOES get better. I can't wait to see how much of a difference it will make in my life years from now living by God's principals, because my own were flawed and destructive. This entire video made so much sense. I've been fighting my entire life against lust and fornication and adultery. There's a reason cheaters will almost always cheat again. It's because they are ensnared in the short-term pleasures of lust. It will blind your wisdom and logic. And the saddest part of it all - it's our own faults.
