Lions lions lions just so many lions at Mazithi Dam, Kruger National Park on 22 June 2024

A large pride of lions about 18+ was seen on a game drive with ‪@PKSafaris‬ on 22 June 2024. North of Tskhokwane you get the Mazithi Dam this is in summer a large shallow pan that brings many animals. At the moment is dry at for many animals a last hope for water.
The lion pride that was seen had many females and a couple of young male sub-adults this was truly an experience for our guests on safari and really Kruger Park magic moments.

What a lovely looking pride. Saw them in early June, around 14 of them as some were hidden in reeds/long grass in the distance, so thanks for a close up view. Nice bush sounds.

Super Pride, but tough in Winter drought. No prey becayse no water. Those Subs need some, but maybe hunger good motivation! Poor girl with injury on right hip, hope she recovers 💯🫶🦁👑

They are very placid as they have not tried to attack anyone in their cars. Are they so used to humans that you could leave your car to get a closer look.

Are they all female with no male lion? I think it’s terrible when another male lion takes over the pride and kills the cubs.

I can see two male lions take a closer look but they look young I think they are not the dominant male there ,,I don't know 😅
