We spend an exciting evening with the Nkuhuma break-away lioness and her two young cubs along the iconic Sand River, an area colloquially known as the Beach!

wonderful footage of Ridge Nose ... cubs are growing into subs ... boy is already so much bigger that his sister ... still missing Amber Eyes and remembering the good old days when the NKs where all together based at Djuma and featured regular on WE live Safaris ... this used to be Othawa territory which make me also kinda sad ... hope Sassy's 2 girls are doing well ...

Such a relaxed and peaceful sighting and a truly beautiful area. Am thinking this is Ridge Nose, (Nkuhuma) and her two cubs?

Wow! How do you make these low-angle shots? Are you under the vehicle, camouflaged and unnoticed? 🙂

The Ottawa pride used to move around between here and the northern edge. Right now, this might be the safest place west of Londolozi. She was recently up north-west with the PC males--at least they visited their two oldest "kids." She's probably made a smart decision, to get away from Singita--she probably watched what happened to her "sister."

She here is probably the daughter of one the literally biggest "legends" of Sabi Sands. Can you tell? No, no DNA testing, but it definitely seems to come through. One of the cubs seems to be bigger than the other, and this would be normal because the bigger one seems to be the male.
