Lions Timbavati - Mating whole pride

Timbavati Lions mating : Male lion trying to mate with a female of the pride. Seems fairly new to the pride as he still trying to enforce himself on the pride and fighting with the females a bit of dominance.

These males the two oldest of seven Giraffe males known as the Old Avoca males, were already closely related to the Avoca pride as their fathers the old Ross/Giraffe males known as The Good and Bad also dominated to the Avoca pride from 2009, where in fact they fathered the Rockfig male.

This was a very interesting interaction in this pride. He's quite wounded still from fights and looks to be ailing still or a bit uncomfortable die to pain. I think this is what the lionessess are responding to in not wanting to submit, possibly.

This is one of the Old Avoca males with an Avoca lioness. I believe you posted this originally in 2013…. Do you remember what month this sighting is from?

By then, all the Avocas were already born? The S. Avoca were born around March of 2013 and the N. Avocas at around the end of the year, Nov. ? The lioness almost looks like/or is the mother of the S. Avocas...

@@kath6726 I whisker spot matched her to the Xikukutsu male’s mother. I can’t believe she’s this old. I know what you mean by her looking like the S Avocas mother. I always wondered about that since she has such a unique face. Maybe if this video was posted in Nov but taken earlier it’s possible. Otherwise she could just be a similar looking lioness.

What I'm amazed at are the people watching on the porch at 1:10-1:14, a little too close for my comfort. I think that lioness that finally did participate was just taking one for the team...she knew he wouldn't let up until someone did. He didn't do any Fleming so I don't even think they were in estrus, of anything that lioness in the end demonstrated a false estrus (she didn't bother faking it either - no rolling over).
