I mean Lions had 2 earlier drives in the 4th quarter one Stafford threw a pick the other drive three and out but defense got stops and gave them a chance for that td drive they got. Those Lions could be a hotter coaching market than everyone thinks. Because we have some key pieces going forward. A coach is gonna see an arm like Stafford, a young electric back in Swift, an elite caliber WR in Golladay and a very good up an coming TE in Hock. The offensive line isn't our weakness either. We still have Kerryon too. If he can figure a way to get back to his rookie stride before injury, Kerryon & Swift can be elite together. Quintez Cephus looks to be something too. I know its only one game but he looked real good. Also, our defense are only a couple free agent signings or good draft picks away from being good enough to help win consistently. Sorry for the long comment, but I have been a Lions fan since I can remember and love to see them finally get some love on comments.

@@jichaelmordan1079 It's all good... there's nothing wrong with wanting to see winning football but it all starts with having a vision for the team. The Lion's need to bring in a defensive coordinator who can implement an up-tempo style of play where the guys play a lot faster and will be more exciting to watch. I wouldn't be surprised if Darrell Bevell gets to stay as head coach because the plays respond to him really well and they want to play for him that's very telling. Remember that the Lions scored a lot of points this season and most of the losses were because of the defensive play.

Stafford many times has to come back because he makes terrible decisions when the game is on the line.... being a pitcher they loved his baseball mechanics and thought that that might bring an advantage in his passing game....but that "squeeze the ball in tight spaces" does not work out in football! His lack of mobility which does not allow him to stretch plays allows the defense to play off..... He's better off with a team that has a stout defense and can let a quarterback stand in the pocket like a statue......him and Brady are the last of the statue gun slingers......you need mobility from the QB position in today's game to win ball games

The odds are both would of fallen to the top of round 2 and it was worth it to risk it. #2.Do not sign expensive players unless you think you can win a bowl in 3 years or less or it is a 1 year contract and it doesnt matter. #3.Trade players on rookie deals or cheaper vets who have 1 year left on their contract for better draft picks since you wont resign them anyway.
