Love your comments! In my opinion LionSTEEL knives are the most under rated AND best knives on the planet. I started collecting them after I bought a M4 w/ a CPM 4 blade. Man, was I in love! I carry the M1, B35, M4, or H2 daily depending on where I am going. In the woods, I carry the T5, T6, or M7. The T6 and M7 are monsters but one never knows when they will run into a grizzly or a dragon. The very best prices come from Chicago Knife Works and their service is excellent.... and free shipping to boot.

You could bend the leather snap down it keeps it out of the blades way

It was meant to be a combat knife as well as a survival knife and it does both really well. Looks great, is extremely practical, great grip and very rust resistant. I don't know how it's even possible ha

Sounds like a great fixed blade. Handled the 6 and 7 in knives and they were extremely comfortable in hand. New steel for this year (been using Slepner (?l steel for 4-5 years now, a semi-stainess D2).

I have the T6, and it's a good one, but I think I may end up getting this one for the size. I like big knives, but this size is more right sized for general camp type tasks. Lionsteel has a bunch of knives I'd love to try out, but you know how it goes..so many great knives, so few dollars to buy them..😆 I've been subbed to Gideons Tactical for years now. He's a good reviewer for sure!

Great knife. I think I'll replace the white stitching on the sheath with black.

Careful with the T6 & T7. Found out on Donnie B All Day's destruction test of the T7 that while the tang is full length, it even sticks out the back a little, but it is a full length rat tang. The small bit of the tang that sticks out the bottom is actually the thickness that runs through the canoed out micarta handle. And where the bolts go through is REALLY thin. After looking into it more, the T-6 is, apparently, the same. Not sure about the 5, but would appreciate it if you could look at yours and let me know, please. The 3 and 4 are both full tangs, just skeletonized to reduce weight. I was crushing pretty hard on the T-7, hence why I was watching a bunch of videos on it. Was so very disappointed when I found out. Granted, Donnie B was TRYING to break it, doing things that I'll never be do to a knife, it broke way easier than both he and I thought it would. Right across the top screw hole in the handle. When I saw just how skinny the tang was, the knife isn't the only thing that broke.

Hi, it's an M7 knife that JoeX tested/destroyed, there is no Lionsteel T7 model, yet :) Here you can see (video from Cedric & Ada) the T5 "tapered" full tang that I wouldn't call a rat tail or a stick tang: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fZvddIyGq7mgsMk In my opinion this type of construction should be stronger than a heavy skeletonized tang like ones of M4 or M5, too bad for that 2 extra smaller holes they did on the T5. I didn't see the T6 construction yet (without the handle) but should be the same or very close as T5's. For me it's a smart solution for weight reduction with no main weak points. JoeX broke the M7 pretty fast on the stone block, but it took 20+ hits, to consider is that it is made from very highly heat-treated Sleipner steel (60-62 HRC) what is a bit high for that type of steel and usage, no way the knife could survive those hits on stone or iron rod. So if you are going to chop concrete it will brake, but surely it will not brake on chopping wood, for me no worries. On M7 in Sleipner I would prefer lower HRC (58-60) or other tougher steel like cpm-3V!
