I never found Leo attractive either (at least not when I first fell in love with Titanic), he just wasn't my type, but at the same time I could see that he is very good-looking, especially when everyone around me was saying it. I think it can be the same for Kate, she just always saw him as a friend. If she hadn't they would have become a couple, they had several chances.

Hes attractive, but really outside of Titanic (same for Kate) they arent perfection on Earth. I think its Jack Dawson character that makes him so attractive, the story, the setting, Celine Dion song, and all that which makes him attractive. In Total Eclipse, where young Leo kisses an old man... he wasnt as attractive lol.
