Best swatch video I have ever seen. No extra light, no additional filter so that we can see the actual color. I have tried these lipsticks and they are looking the same as the real look. Most of the time youtubers add some additional lights due to that the color in the video looks different from the real color.

More Truffle reminds me so much of an old M.A.C. shade from the 90s called Network. Maybe a touch cooler but very similar. Network was my fave lipstick for years!

I love More Berry, More Mauve, and More Buff...I'm such a creature of habit in my color choices though. I love the finish on these. I will probably wait on them though as I can't justify buying any more lipsticks that can smudge under a mask right now. They're still going on the wishlist though!

Arent the maybelline Superstay matte Ink lipsticks ultra longlasting? I think these new ones do just feel like a normal lipstick and might get off your lips easier and faster (im sorry, i am not english)

I think the difference between Superstay Matte Ink crayon on ultimatte lipstick are the soft and matte finish coverage compare to ss crayons and it haven't a sharpener unlike the other one

So according to their descriptions in the Maybelline's site the crayons are more long lasting and the slim lipsticks are more matte.

Not very much: the formulas are VERY SIMILAR, the ink crayon is slightly more matte/long wearing, the application itself is slimmer & has a sharpener (so it can be used as a lip liner), overall the shades are quite different though.

This brings me back to the 90’s couldn’t remember the exact name but they were maybelline’s version of a colorstay lipstick. This was ‘ 95 I think?

I don’t think that matte lipsticks were really a thing in the 90’s. I don’t remember seeing an actual matte lipstick line (at least from Maybelline) til like 2015-ish? When the Color Sensational lipsticks 1st launched in like 2009 or 10-ish the line had a bunch of different textures/finishes (pearl, shine, satin, cream, matte, etc), (similar to that popular Revlon line in the dark tube) then later maybelline made each finish a different line. So I think at 1st, their 1st matte line was called The Buffs which is now discontinued. But then they came out with the creamy mattes & shortly after were the powder mattes (or vice versa?) It’s hard to remember or keep track but it definitely wasn’t in the 90’s I don’t think. But Pretty sure maybelline was one of the 1st to actually come out w/matte lipsticks like wayyy back in like the 1920’s or 30’s in those really bright reds, orange or burnt orangey shades! It’s so cool to think about makeup in those eras. It’s has changed so much. The 1st thing that to inspire a launch from maybelline was someone was using Vaseline & coal shavings or powder and putting it on the lashes to make them look more thick & dark. Then the 1st mascara came from that. Idk for sure if my details are totally correct but I think I’m close. I read something that was on the birth & timeline of Maybelline & then later on, Maybelline New York. It was really interesting. There are sites that sell makeup , including maybelline items from discontinued lines. I’m sure the choices are few but they are more for collecting than using. I mean I wouldn’t use a lipstick that was d/c’d a decade ago loll 🤢🤮

@@Allyson6C They weren’t the same as they are now! I remember the line had an eyeliner and I think nail polish from that same line! I used that lipstick for my prom makeup becuz I had a coupon I cut out of the magazine! I like the some of the makeup we had back then. I used to work while going to school just so I could afford the nice makeup!I think it might have been called great wear?And the ad was from 1996.

Yes, that's the vibe I'm getting. Like ultima ll lippies from back in the day. Revlon had a slim one like this back in the day as well. I forget what they were called but my shade was "earth"

@@Allyson6C matte lipsticks were absolutely a thing in the 90's. Google Ultima II Lipsexxy or Revlon colors stay long wearing slim lipstick. The 90's invented matte.
