Hello and good job on the review. I've been cutting my own hair for the last 25 or more years at home and thought hmm this would be a nice addition to my setup. I just got the product today and to be honest with you I'm not too impressed. 1) If you were to drop it or it happen to fall down your going to have a safety issue with all the glass all over the place. 2) doesn't fit on door and 3) it doesn't hang on to your bathroom vanity and 4 lol! You still need a mirror to see the back of your complete head and not just a section. I've been using a 2 dollar mirror from the dollar store and it works cherry lol. Also how I over came the bathroom vanity issue is I got a half inch by half inch by 7 inch piece of wood. I put on Velcro on one side and laid a piece of Velcro on bathroom vanity and walllla! Doesn't move and stays in place... Till next time😊

All fair points. My biggest gripe is not truly having a perfect view of the back of my head. But I haven't been able to get that with any setup. Also if I could rig mine to hang on the vanity like you're saying it would make the lighting situation a lot more pleasant so maybe I'll think about that. Thanks for the idea!

Solid review. He mentions things I noticed but didnt mind at first. Its pretty hard to close the door when you hang it, as well as the telescoping door hook could be made sturdier. Overall, it proved to be useful as I gave myself a decent haircut. Will get better next time and so on..

Being able to squarely see the back of my head would require a mirror behind me. This mirror provides a reasonable view with good mirror placement, or an almost perfect back view by getting close to the middle mirror, turning sideways so that you are looking directly in a side mirror, and then adjusting both side mirrors until the back of your head is visible, or nearly completely so. Not sure if this leaves enough room to be in that position while cutting, but maybe. I just got the mirror, and the door hooks are now metal, and the door can be closed with the mirror in place. I wouldn't do that with a door that is frequently opened and closed because I'd be afraid of the mirror swinging a bit and hitting on the door and possibly damaging the mirror. I have no idea how the two supplied plastic hoods are supposed to work. What do you do, jam those metal pins into the wood and then hang the mirror from that? I'd rather use two small screws for hooks.
@TyDollarАй бұрын
I agree with all of the above. This mirror is like 99% of what you need to see the back of your head. I think ideally I'd want like a camera view of the back with a screen in front of me to I could just look straight ahead and cut lol. Yeah I guess the pins should be jammed into the wall. That's not something I plan on doing though. I only need the mirror for like 45 minutes evey 1-2 months.

What’s with the extra wall hooks and how would you attach them? Thx dude!
@TyDollar Жыл бұрын
There's slots in the back of the mirror that I think you would mount on the hooks. As far as getting the hooks in your wall... if memory serves there were metal pins that look like they would slide right in your dry wall. Although the mirror is a bit heavy so I'd be careful when mounting. If you really wanted it on a stud good luck, because the hooks won't be spaced far enough apart to each get one. I hope that helps, thanks for watching :)

Nice video! So, my current setup is not turrible, been using it for years. The main bathroom mirror, then I have one of those cheap long $7 mirrors I place on like a small table on the opposite wall, and turn it as I need. With this setup, I can see the back of my head fine, just need to adjust the angle occasionally. My issue (and reason I'm watching all these types of videos) is that my secondary mirror is very far away, like 5ft bathroom distance away. It works, but its just hard to see. I like that these 360 mirrors are close together, and I could see better. You mention it in your video, but just wondering if you can clearly see the back of your head. Or is it basically that you can only see like almost the back of your head at an angle? Thanks.
@TyDollar Жыл бұрын
I would say I'm like 99% satisfied with what I can see, but I wouldn't call it perfect. I don't know how you would get a totally square view of the back of your head without a camera pointed at it and displayed on a screen or something. I think it's a closer up view than if the second mirror were 5 feet away which is an advantage of this setup. My main issue is the lighting in my bathroom is asymmetrical so when I turn my head one direction I can see much better than the other. The built in mirror lighting is decent but not as good as my overhead lights. If anything I might invest in another light so I can really see what I'm doing. I think that would help if you're doing really fine fades.

@TyDollar9 ай бұрын
I think the metal pins are meant to be hammered into the wall. So what's left is a plastic hook on the wall for you to mount the mirrors to. Just my guess, I haven't used them.

@TyDollarАй бұрын
Mine is a little sensitive but it works when I just lightly touch my finger to the "button" area. It's not really a moving button just a touch. I also have to make sure to charge it before use because it sits for so long between uses it dies. Also apparently there is a version with no light at all so double check if you're in that boat.
@gphillimoАй бұрын
@TyDollar Yeah I ended up being able to charge it with the original cord which I couldn't find at first. I was trying to charge it with my phone charger since it's usb-c but that wasn't working. Now that it's charged with original cord I can turn it on

@TyDollar5 ай бұрын
I know, this is a really hard problem to solve. I think the only real solution is a camera behind you and a video-feed to a screen in front of you... A bit contrived at that point and you start to wonder if you should just go to the barber... :) Maybe there's a market for a new product there!
