It depends tho in each brand. You have big business that sell for cheap as well. And all Big business started out small, remember that. Kylie her company is overal Bad for a cosmetic company because they sell for cheap for not a good quality product. But not all big companies are like that. And besides, bigger companies have real scientists behind the scenes. Behind the small lipgloss businesses you see here, there is a person who is not educated in chemistry and cosmetics therefore the product itself can do more harm than good over time. There is a KZbinr who did videos of this about small businesses their ingredients how bad they are for you, his KZbin channel was Hyram or something.

Honestly, I'm just tired of seeing the same thing, and then they expect to blow up. Lets be honest, no hate, no calling out, but- How many businesses can you name, even remember, that have their theme as pink and silver? How many businesses have you seen that have their business named "_______ Cosmetics"? How many businesses have you ran across that sell "Fruit Burst" & etc...? A LOT. Again, no hate, but it takes 2.5 seconds to find a vendor that will NOT ONLY supply you with gloss tubes, but will MAKE THE GLOSS FOR YOU. Yes, it might take a lonnnng time to find that type of vendor, but- the more products you brand YOURSELF, (have your brand name on it) the more people can remember and promote your business. I love small businesses- but we gotta start doing a little bit better. And at the end of the day, the more products you sell that nobody else sells, the less "competition" there is.

Ok let me address this. 1. Reselling is a business tactic and that’s how many large companies roll like your local grocery store. 2. It’s all legal unless you sell it for higher then we have problems 3. If you want to avoid copyright or getting sued then try to change the product up a bit by adding your own label 4. This is a win win situation where the person who made the product gets their money and so does the seller, that’s called business.

If it’s for just a bonus product like: “Every order you place you’ll get some false eyelashes and a lip gloss” That would most likely be okay. Then don't buy them... Also, good look getting sued for making your own if you end up putting in the wrong ingredients. I hope you have liability insurance and a lawyer on retainer. Oh, I'm sure you've hired a chemist too? I saw someone make a face scrub with coarse sea salt and lemon juice - two things that will absolutely destroy your skin. It's safer buying OEM or white label stuff or even wholesale. Again if you don't like it, you don't need to buy it.

@@HaggisMuncher-69-420 I am only just now noticing that a lot of people are big mad over small businesses reselling name brand glosses. I am so confused as to why to be honest. As someone who tried to make their own lip gloss last year, you are not only coming out of more money, but for me also it was a storage issue and handmade stuff tends to not last as long as manufactured products. I made a lot of my own lip glosses and scrubs and got not one dime for months after listing my products for sale. I took some time off to rebrand and this time I said I am going to buy wholesale pre -made gloss from different businesses including small businesses and then later on I will start back making my own and adding it to the mix and sometimes to get a sale you have to find at least one or more popular products in the media. I myself was able to invest more and was able to buy a lot of products and inventory. I'll be launching in September 2022. I likes the idea of making my own gloss, but it was too messy, versagels are too pricey and don't last long even if you get a decent sized bucket. Most are trying to be practical, but really want to start a business. You have to do what you gotta do. By the time you purchase pigements, mica powders, cosmetic grade glitter, versagels, lipgloss tubes, oils, and whatever else you may as well just get wholesale especially starting out at least.

All business start of small. They have to work their way up to being celeb level and that takes hard work as well. Smaller business DO tend to over price items, but to be fair they have just started and want to make a profit especially because of all the expensive items they may need to run it. As they grow they might start getting discounts from buying what ever they need for their business, and then they can lower the price. Sometimes it’s good to support a small business so that they know that YOU are helping them to grow.

I’ve noticed that a lot of people are complaining about not having any customers in the lipgloss business. This is mainly because their are a lot of other people selling these so there is way more competition also let’s say if one of their lipglosses cost £4.99 and postage is £2.99 that’s a lot of money in total for just one lipgloss, sure you can multi buy from them, but it’s still a lot, now at your local makeup shop you can buy and bundle of say 4 for about £4.50. Which is going to be best deal in the eyes of the customer? The singular lipgloss for £7.98 OR The pack of 4 for £4.99 ?

It’s a really saturated business, it doesn’t help that to make your own cosmetics requires you to be an expert in chemistry, ingredients for colors, base, and any add-ons like scents and shimmer are expensive. A lot of these people resort to selling cheap lipglosses you could find in a local independent beauty shop. Or just Frankensteining the cheap glosses into their own product. I cant imagine the profit margin being high if you go for the homemade route or sustainable. I wonder how they’ll do in the long term though

Ive worked for a big-small business where we made products like shampoo and conditioner. The people making their own lip gloss concerns me, I hope they’re formulating the products with the right preservatives and ingredients. If you buy these you have no idea what they put in it, where they prepare it, if it’s sanitary, etc. If it doesn’t have preservatives it could have ingredients that go bad. Plus for people that have allergies I feel like you should be super careful if you buy this stuff because what if something you’re allergic to is in it. I don’t want to discourage people from selling but I feel like there should be more regulations on people just making cosmetics in their bedroom.

when owning a lip gloss business, you always have to put out what you’re using. For the simple fact that some owners are aware of allergies. Most of ua that care wear face mask, non-latex gloves, etc. And its also a reading thing with customers, they feel as though we’re responsible when they have an allergic reaction, which in some cases isn’t true. hi! i used to sell lipglosses around 2018 till mid 2019, i bought the lipgloss tube & the ingredients from a trusted online seller (the ingredients; oils, scent, gel, and vice versa) and i do make it on my own ALL BY MYSELF including packaging them :)

Translation for 3:25! Hooray my first order! So first off I print my shipping label and then I prepare the box and then I put a tissue paper like this and then I put shredded papers like this so the products will be sent safely and then i put the products in a little pouch like this it’s cute, right?, right?. And then I seal it with a sticker of my shop’s logo, and then I put a thank you card and gifts and it is a sticker and 2 hairbands, hooray! And then I close it and give it a sticker like this and then I write my customers name on there and then I put it in a polymailer bag so the product won’t be wet when it is shipped and then I just stick the label and ship it!!
