Use grain-based pet food for chum. That will get them all riled into a feeding frenzy. Then rig your hook about 6 inches below a bobber and cast right into the swirl pile. You'll catch all you want that way.

I went to lake that was full of them. There were plenty 4 to 6 feet long. Tried to catch them with no luck. There very skiddish.

I feel like you missed an opportunity to ask them not to paddleboard where you are actively fishing, possibly teaching them to have awareness. "Careful you don't get hooked" usually works on these types.

Great vid there is some grass carp in a pond near me and they are my favorite fish to target in there bc the bass are small. The longest fight I had with one was 18 minutes with a medium rod and 10lb test.

Hard to find grass carp in pa. Only stock sterile fish in private ponds and such. Not found in most public waterways

They’re insanely destructive to wildlife and natural watery environments. Great for managing pond plant growth tho, so thats why only sterile females are legal.
